But the real shame of it is that the Fant4stic blu-ray looks helluvalot better than all the Ant-Man covers.

Marvel has the some of the finest artists working on their comics and their movie designs, but they can't do any better than typical Hollywood photoshop-shit for their theatrical posters and home video releases.
I wish the poster art of the DVD was also on the blu ray versions, but the studios realized that there are a lot of collectors out there who want something unique, and offer different versions.

Same here, I don't like the 3D artwork and slipcover one bit, this is the only other 3D cover I have a dislike for, although it looks nice in its own right but the movies called Edge of Tomorrow

Saw this at cinema, really enjoyed it. Will definitely get the 3D release.

Agree with others that the DVD art is better.

Agreed. I'm guessing for marketing they felt Live, Die, Repeat was a more catchy title or something than Edge of Tomorrow, which I think is good.

Ant Man's lenticular cover art might show a different angle with Ant Man's mask on, but when viewed direct, show him without it. Not sure yet but hopefully that's the case here, as there is a poster out there with this image but with the helmet on.

When Ant Man shrinks down and is in the pipe line with the ant colony, that was probably the most memorable shot for me in 3D, aside from the strong 3D in the tub when he first puts on the suit.

Generally. Marvel prefers its heroes unmasked. And when has there ever been a lenticular cover for a Marvel disc release? I doubt they'd start now. Best you can hope for is raised lettering or a steelbook.

Well there will be a steelbook, fortunately.

Lenticular covers are welcome, though I can imagine they raise the final retail price by a couple dollars or so, which might explain the low price of 19.99 suggesting no 3D cover. Hopefully I'm wrong about that.

And Marvel Entertainment: "The Amazing Spider-Man in 3D" with lenticular slip-cover, released on 11-9-2012.

Well, ASM is not a Marvel Studios movie. The Avengers cover is a different one than the combo I have, which has raised images but no lenticular. Guess that one came and went quickly.

True, but it does fit your original question: "when has there ever been a lenticular cover for a Marvel disc release?"

Looks like both places are back to $30. Glad I pre-ordered for the $19.99 price.

The price will drop back to $20 around release week. These MCU releases all seem to have the same pattern when it comes to pricing.

Anyone think this exclusive Best Buy steelbook will sell out like the guardians of the galaxy steelbook?

Yes, I advise being at Best Buy when they open on release day if you can. If not, pre-order online.

Target hasn't posted any exclusive version of Ant-Man 3D yet. Is it safe to say they won't? If that's the case, I'll probably preorder the BB Steelbook.

Trying to wait for the steelbook to drop to 19.99 so I don't have to go to the refund trouble like I did with AoU.

So far the price at Best Buy has dropped to $24.99 (Steel Book). I just cancelled my original $30 pre-order and re-ordered at the $25 price.

I'm hoping it will eventually drop to $20 but luckily i have 45 days to price match from the day its released. Since the steel book will likely sell out it's best not to wait until price drops (to $20 to purchase) unless that happens the day it released.

I was surprised amazon raised Ant Man blu ray 3D to $29.99 when at first they had it listed at 19.99. Since I usually buy 3D blu rays in stores first, I didn't pre order this so I hope it's true that they'll bring the price back down. I liked the movie and the 3D especially, but not for 29.99. 24.99 is fine, but really hope it gets back to 19.99. That was great.
