Unfortunately though I don't think there are any sites in the UK that just sell the 3D slipcovers separately apart from trying ebay which is usually too expensive anyway.

Pretty much... Disney UK have once again left collectors up .... creek without a paddle
thankyou...did not know about that shop

Well I'm in the U.S. So I guess I can't do much about it. Guess preordering months in advance isn't good enough to score you a slip cover. Not happy with the way Disney are handling their bluray releases at the moment.

I forgot to ask, if a slip is $4.50, what do you end up paying to get it shipped over? I wouldn't mind getting a few for my missing US BDs,

If you put an item in your basket there is a shipping calculator once you add your address which gives you a choice of delivery options. If it comes out too expensive just delete it before placing your order.

Hope that helps.

Bluraysforeveryone is excellent but their shipping options sting :-(

Default Not 3D

Has anyone had the problem of buying Big Hero 6 3D the Region Free version and the 3D blu ray disc not being 3D?

The same thing happened with the Region Free Planes 2.

I am sure there are a few copies out there that have this mistake but any decent retailer will exchange it for you.

Wait what! I buy 3D versions even though I don't have a 3D TV yet and you are saying they might not even work!? Pity there's no way to check until I actually get a 3D TV :/

I assumed he meant his copy had two copies of the 2D disc and no 3D disc.

You can check, mate. Just pop the disc in and it will say you don't have the right equipment, at least you'll know it's a 3DBD!

Ah yeah maybe. I thought he meant the 3D effects didn't work on the 3D disc.
Or perhaps it says 3D on the disc but it's the 2D data! So 2 2D but 1 that says 3D on the artwork.

Shall try mine later and see what it says

Indie: Thanks. They're refunding my money.

My problem is, the last two 3D movies I bought from the UK (Planes 2 & Big Hero 6) the 3D disc does not play 3D.

Grog: Do you really think someone would be stupid enough to ask about 3D if they didn't own a 3D player on this site?

I own a fairly nice collection of 3D blu rays. The last two just have not played 3D. I have watched others between and the 3D works fine.

Woah! Where did that come from? I never said anything about a player. Nothing like that at all

It sounds like your problem is just what i said: that the 3D disc does not play 3D. So i presume by that you mean it plays the film but in 2D? Or you might mean it doesn't play at all.

Either way, glad you're getting refunded

I buy 3D discs and don't have a 3D player.

I may buy one one day so I try to future proof my collecting by spending a couple of extra quid here and there where 3D versions are available.

Does that make me stupid?

What!? No of course not! I do that too! I said so in a previous post as shown below:

I have clearly stated I buy 3D movies. I clearly stated I don't own a 3D TV .
My point about them not working was because the other guy said:
Quote:

I thought that meant that even if I got a 3D TV that there was a issue with the discs encoding or something.
I'm sorry if you thought I was getting on at people who do that but I didn't say anything of the sort.

I'm so confused at why you guys are getting on at me when I was just trying to discuss this 3D discs issue.

I didn't think Planes 2 had been released in 3D.

Ah very well then

Yeah, extra disc/future proofing and pretty much always a slipcover or at least a better looking one and only for a few quid more.
Saves you double dipping whenever you get a 3D TV too.

I wasn't interested in 3D originally but I bought Prometheus in 3D just to get the extras, proved to be quite expensive in the end as eventually I wanted to see it 3D so had to buy a new player

I AM SO SORRY.

I swear I thought you wrote that I bought it and might not have a 3D player or TV. I read that. Now, I re-read it, and it was that you don't have a 3D player or TV.

I AM that IDIOT I mentioned. 1001 APOLOGIZES.
