Glad you brought that up because I'm so used to just looking at the picture, I didn't even notice them until the 2nd episode and then wasn't at all sure what the AR was supposed to be because I'm not sure I've seen the bars like that before, at least not off the top of my head.

I was thinking Jurassic World? I have to check.....it seems like perfectly halfway between 2.4 and 1.78, just eyeballing it.

I finished this a few hours ago. Like eveyone else, I'm curious if the characters will return. I can't begin to guess how they'd continue it without repeating much of the story again.

Just finished this. Wasn't expecting to binge it so fast, but I got hooked! Did remind me of Super 8 a bit and liked the 80's Sci Fi/Horror feel to it. Winona Ryder's character did annoy me at times though. Curious to see what will be in store for a 2nd season.

They should continue the show but as an anthology series with different things.

I finished it last night and I'll have to agree with the anthology route. I can't see the characters/story stretching into another season. Maybe Hopper but even then I would prefer a new cast and story instead. I'm enjoying more of the one-off story season arcs.

Quick question though....

[Show spoiler]The chiefs daughter was not 11 was she? It showed his daughter with cancer passing but I thought it was dropping hints she was actually his daughter. But they have been together in same room and nothing was mentioned. I assume she just reminded him of her. Unless 11 doesn't remember due to tests/age and he doesn't recognise her due to time passing and shes older? Not sure how old his daughter was when she died and how much time has gone by

[Show spoiler]I assumed she was Terry Ive's daughter. She was part of the experiment and had a child during the testing. So during the pregnancy and with drug tests, she would have a child that might have gifts

I feel with the title Stranger Things, it can lead to more of an anthology series like Twilight Zone. Each season would deal with Stranger Things and might even link to one another. The Upside Down has a lot of potential.

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed this. Sitting down later today to start it, sounds like it will be a binge watch. My wife has a thing though that if we get a few episodes in and we need to stop watching, we shut it off in mid episode. She doesn't like ending on a cliff hangar because then we have to see what happens and start a new episode.

To everyone hoping for an anthology series, the Duffer Brothers and Shawn Levy have all already said in interviews that it won't be. But they also said that it'd be "more like a sequel than a second season," whatever that implies. So I guess still a different storyline rather than a direct continuation, but the same characters.

Just got done with Episode 1. Loved it! Sure it has its clichės here and there but the flow is great and the 80's setting is on point. Definitely looking forward to this whole Season. Kept me entertained and now intrigued about Will's disappearance.

Binged this series today and I was honestly blown away. I usually multi task when watching anything. After one episode I noticed my computer was in sleep mode. Closed it, set it down never looked away. I watch a lot of TV and movies. I must say, this is the first show in several years I lost track of time watching. I also felt like the details in it were immaculate and precise. I love it and am sad it's over... for now. Probably the best original series in the last several years one not based on anything like a book series or whatever.

I just got done watching it. I didn't realize it was only 8 episodes until it was over (I wasn't expecting to finish it in one session.

I loved this show! I hope they put out a soundtrack for it too, so many great songs and music! Even the TRON-esque opening title theme...

This was far better than Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

They left so much open for a second season, I don't think they'll be running short of stories.

[Show spoiler]Hopper is likely tied into protecting/guarding the gateway (he got picked up by those men in the car outside the hospital - left eggos for 11 who's likely guarding things from the other side)

Will with the slugs (I would guess the 'monster' for season 2)
