I think Arnold is making some right steps. Maggie showed me his dramatic side without all the explosions and action hero side we grew up with. Terminator I'll give it to him because he is the face of the franchise.
I believe this will be a nice balanced performance for his career. Grounded and believable I hope for his character.

Yeah Arnie was great in Maggie, he was believable as Wade. Arnie playing Viktor here is also an everyday guy with some of Arnie's personality shining through, it should be a good watch. I have a few problems with the pacing for this film but I also had that same problem with Maggie.

IMDB has most of the cast list up now, Arnie seems to be the only big name but a few recognizable faces.

can you really tell "pacing" of a film just by reading the script? Wouldn't you need to see the movie and see what the director was able to do with said script? Not trolling or calling you out, a legit question as I myself don't read scripts.

Well by pacing I mean

[Show spoiler]when there are scenes added in that don't add much to the story or are just overly long. 478 seems to have that problem. The first act is gripping showing an ideal family man then being thrown into a nightmare and unravelling but slows down too much going into the second act showing the air traffic controller's perspective.

As you say though things could change, adding in scenes or deleting them entirely. I am not sure if this is the shooting script I have, I doubt it though.

The problem I have is why in the world would Arnold commit to a direct to VOD/Blu Ray project. This film is being released through Lionsgate Premire, which is that; direct to VOD/Blu Ray.



I know he is interested in building a dramatic path, but, man I really hate the fact of Arnold films being direct to VOD/Blu Ray!

The film will be released theatrically limited of course in other countries. Unfortunately the audience is not there for these dramatic films starring Arnie in the US for theatrical showings. Maggie didn't do well at all in the US or UK even for limited screenings. Anyway hopefully Arnie has something planned that is more action orientated next and on the big screen because I think Terminator is dead in the water. I guess his next film will be Expendables 4 which will start filming at the end of the year?

All I want are action movies along the lines of Commando and Expendables 2. Give me another action movie like that and I will be satisfied.
