The best part of all the information coming out about The Celler aka Valencia aka 10 CLOVERFIELD Lane to me is:

[Show spoiler]

Where
100% rural town near Milwaukee, WI, including an underground bomb shelter with two sparely furnished bedrooms, a small kitchenette, a makeshift bathroom, closet and its steel doors, a large wall of full wine racks, and a crawlspace to barn; a farmhouse and its bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen; an abandoned rural highway and gas station, a burning Chicago city skyline, a beat-up yellow truck, and destroyed car.
If they leave it set outside my hometown,
I am going to die in that theatre.

What a freaking cast!!!

John Goodman?! Who doesn't love him?
Mary Elizabeth Winstead? Loved her in Faults and the TV series The Returned. She's so attractive.
John Gallagher, Jr? LOVED him in The Newsroom.

Holy hell yes.

Not that I'm aware of - I've heard that you can with Wikipedia but not IMDB.

Yeah you can, I once thought Hugh Jackman and Tobey Maguire were going to be part of The Avengers until someone corrected it.

But as for the budget, I'd take it with a grain of salt until it's confirmed to be either $5M or $100M.

Well, the reason I think (as do most) the Budget is Not $5M & more likely the $100M figure (give or take), is that it's gonna be released in IMAX theaters also. Which, if it were only a $5M movie, would you really expect a big action monster/spectacle movie in that case? Prob not, no?

Saw this early this morning, made my day. Loved the original, been waiting patiently for more. Have to wonder, though... we've already gotten used to surprise albums, now we have surprise movies. What next? Surprise Stephen King novels? Surprise tv series? Really amazed Bad Robot could keep this a secret.

I think it would be amazing if they managed to keep it a secret like just a week before its release date. Obviously, the way the system works, that would never be able to happen though.

I'm surprised they waited this late to reveal it. They really used the Star Wars hype to hide everything else the Bad Robot production company has been working on.

I don't think the budget is $5M. You can't make a reasonable monster flick with that and expect it to look good with these actors and with J.J. having his name attached right after Star Wars. Cloverfield's budget is $25M so if we're in for the first act in the bunker and the remaining two acts outside with the monster here and there, I expect the budget to be in the area of $40M or $50M.

I think a lot of people will be very disappointed by this movie based on their expectations, and what the movie will actually deliver.

Absolutely fantastic how they kept this a secret so close to the release date. I do however hope it's not all set in the bunker

I was just happy to see that it's filmed with real cameras.

That found footage crap made Cloverfield all but unwatchable to me, like most found footage films.
