Oh, and it sits with my transferred copy of Doing Rude Things, but then I am also partial to British smut...
I managed to miss most of the BBC weekend. I can't even recall when it was.
I did have a transitional period between getting into dvd and getting my first dvd recorder and during the intervening 4 years I stopped archiving most things to vhs ( big mistake) which has resulted in some glaring gaps in my collection and some good things missing that have never been repeated.

I taped the Empire Of The Censors doc from the forbidden night as well. Don't have any of my vhs tapes anymore but the doc is on YouTube.

I remember a documentary on TV in the late '80s or earlier '90s and it had the uncut scene from The Tall Guy and a load of other explicit stuff, anyone know what that was? I think it was on Channel 4, I'd love to see that again.

Thanks very much, its on youtube the but quality is abysmal. Its also shot on an island I've actually been to. Glad its not a true story lol.

Sex and the Censors is from C4 1991 but offhand I don't recall anything from The Tall Guy in it but I might be wrong

I recall Des Dolan shooting himself and the industry in the foot. He was the head of Go Video who released Cannibal Holocaust and SS Experiment Camp on video in the 80's and he contacted Whitehouse to complain to give himself some free publicity. IIRC he said the sales of those titles shot up but it was really the start of the problems as it was specifically the full page ads for those titles from whence everything began ( along with the ad for Driller Killer).
While I could understand some taking offence at the imagery in the SS ad , the roughly drawn cartoon for Holocaust was as offensive as an episode of Scooby Doo
One of the most heart warming things on their current website is Channel 4 basically ignoring their complaint about something on 4OD and them saying the only way to challenge it would be through a Judicial Review which they, sadly (their word, not mine), don't have the means for.

They don't have a chance with their demands but they are still too close to government for my liking and their meddling is behind daft initiatives like age ratings on music videos (!) and the internet blocking leigislation (lol).

Last Cannibal World is on the DPP Section 3 list along with 81 other films.

Figured I'd give this a bump as the UK sub-forum is rife with video nasties discussion at the moment. Chip's post is also in need of an update as The Driller Killer has been released and Absurd is being sent out to those who funded the 2K remasters.

MARDI GRAS MASSACRE has a release from Code Red. And DON'T GO IN THE HOUSE is released in a longer alternate cut from Scorpion.

Mardi Gras Massacre is ONLY on DVD & I've got it. If it has been released on BD is there a pic?

Speaking of Ruggero Deodato, I nearly forgot his Body Count which is a great Italian gory slasher of the 80s and really wanna see this on Blu-ray.
Anyone know who owns the rights to Body Count in the UK?

Don't go in the House has a censored audio track so the German release is still the only way to go for the version we've seen before

Whoever is updating the OP post, maybe bold the film titles and bold and underline the categories to disintguish from the list of releases, and also, I reckon include links to every release, or if you're going to do it the way it is at the moment, make the pictures smaller.

Looking at this list amazes me how many we have on blu now

I rented that on VHS in the 80s! Ah, good days.

I would love a decent release of this as well, so that's at least two of us. ;-)

For those of us who like this sort of stuff, the new issue of Sight and Sound looks like a must buy. I've not bought a magazine for years but will make an exception here
