I have a quick question for Simon about Road Games but its not about the Blu ray release. My Dad really likes the film but doesn't own (nor want) a Blu ray player - he owns the previous Umbrella DVD release and I was wondering if the upcoming DVD release will utilise the new transfer or just be a repackaging of the same disc as previously released?
Thanks for any info you can share.

Hey mate

The DVD release will be a re-release of the original disc that came out a while back. At this stage (as far as I'm aware) the new transfer is only going to be available on Blu.

Thanks Simon. Thought I might upgrade the DVD for my Dad if it was the new master but not to worry. I'll have to invite him over to watch the Blu. See if I can convince him again to get a Blu-ray player

Umbrella, you didn't hit the ball out of the park for this one.

Seriously, seeing a local distributor go this far with a movie like this brings a smile to my face. I'm even more happy that there is a choice for the 5.1, Stereo and Mono tracks. I don't know why, I just like it when you have a generous choice of audio tracks!

Hey there!

Unfortunately at the time we were able to book the interview with Stacy, we were restricted to audio. It's a great interview though, regardless of seeing him talking

Speaking of which, as the bloke who put together the slideshow/image gallery, I can heartily recommend having a read through the original production notes and promo material - there's some great interviews with Richard, Stacy and Jamie Lee Curtis in there.
