Blu-ray titles showing up at Rite Aid stores

This is the first time I've seen a setup like this at any Rite Aid around me (except maybe a single display for discounted holiday items/candy). Maybe it's something new that will be popping up at other stores, but I'm guessing any selection of titles would be YMMV. Was just hoping to spread the word to keep an eye out. Hopefully, it helps others find some good deals.

No clearance bin at one of my main local ones. They did have new previously viewed Disney blus. $12.99 each LMAO. Still had the Rogue One I was thinking of buying months ago, as well as a lot of the same titles I saw then. Just put them on clearance so they’ll sell.

Stopped by my closest/local store today for some drinks and snacks, and it looks like they did a full reset...But in a good way!

4x as many (new) movies as I've ever seen, and on a dedicated wall/display:

I only grabbed one DVD, and only because it completes my set until I can find the BD cheaper (plus I had a $5/$30 coupon, so it was basically free):




PS: Yeah, the prices are never great (unless on clearance), but it's worth a look to find something random and awesome.

Early last year I found Shout's CE of Day of the Dead for $6, so I slip in and check their stock every so often; but yes, in general, they don't have great prices.

Great thread & Thanks for the bump. Those DVD/Blu prices are great - for the most part.

I don't know if I have any Rite-Aids in my state, but if I see any I'll definitely check them out. However, I think Walgreens is the only store similar to RA around here, and mine carry very few DVD's/Blu's.

I worked at a few Rite Aids this past week and got these from two different stores. Not every store had movies.

My closest store had about 30 in the little display (must've not sold many), and they all rang up as $0.49 (cashier helped me test them). I picked these up, but there were some others that might be interesting:

I always go to Rite Aid as they have an Amazon Hub and are close to my house.
Bought Bitten and Zombie Night on blu and some assorted Halloween junk ..again.
And the Halloween movies were mixed in with the rest of the movies and not the Halloween items at the store I drop by.

Also, the Rite Aid near me had a sign that all movies were 50% off.
Did not see anything of interest and it might YMMV.

I visited a different Rite Aid last week in Auburn,Ca and they had a sign for 75% off all movies and music.
Looks like YMMV and very random. Again nothing caught my eye and not a big selection.

Also, some isles shelves were pretty empty or just lined with one product to fill in space.
Not seeing this at any other store in my area, plus the stores are almost always dead.
Might see some stores closing or they have a supply problem with some merchandise or who knows. They for sure do not need two locations in Auburn.

My Rite Aid finally cleared out their media section. All those DVDs, Blu-rays and CDs were just sitting there collecting dust for years.

All I ever see at Rite Aid is almost always trash or stuff I already have.

They used to have a whole rack of shelves in the Clearance section, but now it's just two, four-sided swivel stands like below (and half are CDs).






EDIT: Now that I reflect, I should've asked if the Fresh Prince S1 DVD was included...I didn't even think about it since it's under a plastic dome.

Stopped at the only Rite Aid I know of that has movies (almost all of the Rite Aids around here were converted to Walgreens)

I picked up Cadillac Records, Hotel Transylvania / Monster House, Open Season Scared Silly, School Daze, and the DVD Complete Series of Magilla Gorilla.
