Which would be the best version to start with for someone that hasn't seen this movie before? The x rated or the directors cut?

Director's cut all the way. It has a several great, additional scenes including the ending, and the X-rated doesn't have anything unique; it's just missing those scenes.

Ordered oct 20, and it's delayed for me about 2 more weeks so it say's. Shipping around the 10th of December. Might Cancel and order somewhere else. Diabolic maybe, there is a couple I want to order from them so I might do that.

Edit canceled it, giving a delivery date of dec 13- Jan 13. So it's kind of up in the air on when I would get it.

The UPS lady just delivered my copy from Amazon and I am happy to report it arrived in pristine condition and with the horror-hypo. So glad I was patient and didn't order from Diabolik, I saved 9 bucks for Christmas presents.

Glad to hear about the Amazon price drop. I've had this preordered for a couple of weeks, and just got an estimated delivery date of 12/5. I figured it was a good bet to get a Horror Hypo, as some much better-known movies get an entire print run of only 3000.

Amazon's trying to f*** me with this movie. It only finally just shipped and will arrive Friday, but they charged me $8 shipping when I have Prime and know for a fact I selected free two-day shipping, because just yesterday I had to manually change it from charged one-day shipping (which I didn't select) to free two-day. I was supposed to be paying $26.77 or less according to my initial email confirmation, now I'm charged $29.49. What in the actual f***? It's like somebody lowered the price of the item too low (it's sitting at $19.54 for some reason, and I don't know if Amazon ever lowered it that much) and figured they'd make the difference by tacking on a hefty shipping fee. Well, I'm being charged MORE than I originally should have been, and I'm royally pissed. Getting really damn fed up with how shitty Amazon has been lately. Sent 'em a pretty grouchy (though still respectful) email, just had to vent my true feelings here, ha ha.

Got mine from Amazon today and was also surprised to see the hypo. I don't know if anything will ever be as sought after as that Pieces puzzle. Can't wait to pop this in for the first time in years, will be my second viewing of the movie. This just seems like the defining example of grindhouse cinema, with a ridiculous plot, crazed acting, gory violence. I'm hoping for a wild, fun time.
