Agreed, it's my favourite single character film of Marvels as well.

The fact that people don't read anymore is also probably not helping...

Not in the numbers they used to.

I used to get on the train every morning and it'd be full of people reading books, like the whole carriage.

Now it's full of people on their phones playing Candy Crush or on the internet!

How do you know they are not reading digital books?

People don't usually finger their phone screens furiously while reading a E-book.

I can't remember the last time I read a book. I got up to date with all of The Walking Dead comics but I haven't done much read since then, over 2 years ago. Aside from forced reading in school, I can't recall ever reading a book in my entire life, manga/graphic novels aside.

Comics have no shot at big audiences anymore, it’s just the way it has been trending as tech has trended up

It is though. More media became available. Even more impressive was mobile media. That really took control of how things take for all formats, the ease of it.

The new lows for past a past format become almost the future norm for that format. Just the way it is. Happens all the time. It's culture.

No its not. The sales channels are there. Just based on my own sales. I talk to multiple retalier and fans a month. Both physical and digital titles are moving. Books are expanding into walmart as well as a resurgence back to newstands.

That’s not something you should advertise.

Lol why not? Reading just isn't my thing. I prefer movies, television, games, etc.

It's fascinating to me how the Marvel movies are hugely popular with people yet it's not enough to make those who watch them go out and read a comic which they're inspired from.

When you have to read 50 years' worth of comics, it's a little different than just reading a book a movie is based on.

But to not read ANYTHING? I'm more of a movie guy than anything else, and yet I'll still put away 30 or 40 books per year.

I read comics for many years. Once they started changing & swapping characters for no reason I stopped & never looked back. Now I just stick to the movies which also saves me $ as my weekly comic spending was crazy lol. Also sold off my collection minus a few graphic novels.

I have been doing just that. I have the 3 most recent Guardians Of The Galaxy Graphic Novels and I just got a Doctor Strange one recently too. Also read some Black Panther on the digital marvel site using my free 2 months from BP
