Gerald's Game (2017)

I preferred 1922 which also was a King adaption 2017 exclusive to Netflix but this was a very good watch up until the final 10 minutes. There were some dull moments early with little in the way of plot but as it goes on and the psychological elements of the story devlop you get more invested.

Everyone seems to dislike the ending, but that's about the only thing I found fascinating about this film. It was an interesting twist that led me to re-examine earlier portions of the film from a new perspective.

Overall, though, I wasn't very impressed with this film. I found Dolores Claiborne, which is intentionally very similar, to be much, much better (it's also one of the best King adaptations, in my opinion).

Both novels take place during the same eclipse, and the movie version of Gerald's Game even vaguely alludes to Dolories Claiborne.

That’s how I felt also,I wasn’t enjoying it at all and the end made it somewhat better and had me thinking about how it had panned out,overall still average though.

I watched this when it first hit Netflix and didn't really like it. Found it pretty boring actually.

1922 was much better
