According to the DD listing ($28.68 during their next sale, but will doubtless drop further), this will be three discs (I'm assuming that's what '3PC' means).

How do the sequels compare to the original film? I thought the original was surprisingly decent.

Sounds like it'll be a great release, though that article says it's a 2-disc set while online listings has it as 3-discs.

I wonder what other 'Collection' sets they could do. Dentist, Silent Night Deadly Night...

2-Disc set then, guess that explains the lower RRP.

The Dude Designs also did Wishmaster (and the SF They Live). I hope VV continues to use him for their box sets.

Like the art, but I'm not going to lie... I'm extremely disappointed that the turd that is Waxwork 2 was considered special enough to get it's own disc, but Warlock 2 wasn't. It'd cost Lionsgate 50 cents at most to give each of these their own BD-25 discs. Seems really shitty that part 2 has to share a disc with part 3. My passion for this line took another hit today if this ends up being true. Hopefully this was a typo however and both parts 2 and 3 end up on separate discs.

But it would likely cost us a lot more than that, as they would presumably charge a higher list-price for three discs as opposed to two.

Well it's probably more than 50 cents. Then you have a trickle effect. You have to pay for the disc, print on the disc, buy a case that fits 3 discs, pay more for the added weight when you ship it, depending on the case you use you might need a bigger slip cover and tiny bit more shrink wrap, and so on. Individually that isn't much, but repeat it thousands of times and it will add up.

Nothing is ever as cut and dry and simple as that it only costs a tiny bit more.

I know that you're both correct but it doesn't alleviate the disappointment. I pre-order these and end up paying full retail anyways so the extra $5 wouldn't have really affected me all that much. I'm still happy to finally have confirmation on this one and will place my pre-order shortly, but it just sucks (in my opinion) that the potential last physical release ever for these films will see them (and others like them) crammed onto single discs rather than on their own. I can print my own cover art and separate multidisc sets. I can't press my own copy of the disc however.

So what would be the benefit of two BD-25 discs over one BD-50? Nothing.

very excited about this, I enjoy the 3rd film, and it don't bother me that 2 movies share a disc.

I could split the discs up into their own cases, added DVD's to create combo packs if I was so inclined, and have them organized and/or displayed as I chose with the original art. Nothing important perhaps, but if these are to be the last time the films are released as a physical product I would have preferred something that allowed me to display them the same way I remembered them in the video stores I grew up in.

Is this still on for July? I'm surprised there isn't an Amazon listing? Or did I miss it?
