Thumbs up

Saw it. 3d was a lot better than Wonder Woman's. Maybe it's because I saw WW in regular 3d and JL in Imax 3d but the depth was really good with some nice pop outs. As for the film itself, I'm not a die hard dc fan but I actually loved the film. I had my expectations low after seeing bvs and suicide squad but the way it does for me is that the low expectations I have made me appreciate the film more. It looks like they're learning from the previous films and is trying to go a different route(atleast in my observations) and I'm hopeful it's a step in the right direction. I feel bad that it has the lowest opening in all of DC movies when things are actually starting to look good. I think it has something to do with the critics being quite unfair with the reviews nitpicking the hell out of the film. Sure it has some flaws, but it can be easily overlooked because it has waaay more pros than cons.

i seen this movie today in 3d w/ Dolby Atmos sound, i thought the 3d was good also, nowhere as good as Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice's 3d, but still good 3d wise, and it's good that it's in full frame which really helped the 3d.

As for the Atmos sound, i thought it sounded very good as well, i doubt the blu ray 3d version will have the Atmos mix intact since it's Warner Brothers.

3d Trailers:
Black Panther
Pacific Rim: Uprising (i noticed the 3d in the trailer was a huge step down from the first film which the 3d in the first film was fantastic, the first film was converted to 3d by Stereo D and it was a great conversion IMO, whereas the sequel, the 3d conversion is handled by Prime Focus World, and the 3d is a step down in the trailer and it's already a bad sign, hoping the 3d is not a huge let down, i wished the 3d conversion for the sequel was handled by Stereo D instead, oh well.)
Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Thanks. The 3D was good, but I agree, not quite on par with BvS's 3D or SSquad's. Still good, low medium to medium 3D, with some stronger 3D near the end of the film.

Maybe it'll do better in theaters this holiday weekend. I believe the budget was in the $300 million range, which is excessive spending IMO for any movie. $200 million should be the limit if the studio/distributor wants to make a profit these days in theaters.

Justice League 3D

Domestic Total as of Nov. 24, 2017: $147,316,643 (Estimate)
Distributor: Warner Bros. Release Date: November 17, 2017
Genre: Action / Adventure Runtime: 1 hrs. 59 min.
MPAA Rating: PG-13 Production Budget: N/A

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $147,316,643 44.3%
+ Foreign: $185,000,000 55.7%

Prime Focus does great work (see TMNT: Out of the Shadows). The difference was that Del Toro was personally involved with the conversion. I'm betting the director of this new one was not.

That's a double edged sword though, directors often don't know what makes a good 3d image and push for it to just look like the 2d version.

I learn long ago that trailers at best can give an idea, but shouldn't be paid to much attention to regarding the 3d quality, there are even examples like GITS where they have been converted separately to the film.

Prime Focus can definitely offer amazing 3D, but it depends on how much they're offered for the quality of the 3D conversion.

Gener8, who converted Justice League 3D, is a growing studio with fewer big projects so far, in comparison to Prime Focus and Stereo D, and Legend 3D.

Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully Aquaman 3D will be strong 3D, with all of the underwater scenery, which can look great in 3D with the bubbles and stuff floating out of the screen in the water.

Just made my pre-order at the WB Shop. $34.95. Shipping was free since I added the 4 for $44 Blu-Ray sale to the order. So far the only avenue to purchase yet.

Just watched it this weekend again in 3D. Its definitely the best 3D of any DC movie i have seen. It got pop outs and good depth really excited to get this on 3D Blu-Ray. I love the movie too its highly entertaining superhero flick. All should definitely watch this because its such a great ride

WW now stand on 567 million. First DCEU movie to also crack 100 million China. That is great for the franchise they have captured to audience there too now. Critics are shit and they are clearly biased towards MCU. Its not a fair world where there is so much bias going on.

Saw it in 3D. It was decent at best. Medium throughout (with some mild shots) and brief high medium shots. Popouts were some debris, but the BEST was definitely the batarang scene (literally came out of the screen). Overall, it was good.

It looked better (projection was normal, how it always was). The projection was really off for Thor: Ragnarok.
Also, I saw the Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer in 3D again and it's medium (looks better than when I saw Thor, just dim as hell).

The 3D experience depends on the system, theater, and proficiency of the digital calibration of all 3D related components..

Thanks for the 3D strength descriptions.

I'll have to wait until it hits blu-ray to see the 3-D version. The IMAX screening I went to on opening weekend was 2-D, and though I liked it better than BvS or Man of Steel I still didn't think it was good enough to be worth paying another $19 to see it in theatres again. Wonder Woman remains the DCEU's best film by a very wide margin, although Justice League showed some potential and left me curious about seeing an extended cut.

Just saw Best Buy has a preorder up for 3D-BD-JUSTICE LEAGUE BBY W TRADING CARDS (Blu-ray 3D). No artwork yet but I'm guessing since the Wonder Woman version sold out pretty quickly this one will as well.

Out of 15 theaters nearest me, there are only three 3d showings today, all at the same theater. Star Wars is hogging the 3d with at least four showings at all 15 of the same theaters and 10 at one of them!

Hopefully this one will have a slipcover similar to Best Buy's Wonder Woman exclusive.
