And I believe Archives releases usually retain old special features, but don't quote me on it.
I didn't think there were special features on the original DVD... It didn't even have a real case.

Hated those things.

They made me so angry. My copy of The Matrix got so warped and never closed. Enter the Dragon suffered the same fate as well.

Wow. Totally wasn't expecting this one any time soon. I found the dvd for a buck or two not too long ago but will definitely upgrade. One of the better DC Universe titles still to this day.

Lol, what did you do to them?

I still have some of those snap case DVDs, and have never had any problems like that.

Same, still have a few and have given a few away recently. Even borrowed one from a non-collector last year that was perfectly fine...

That's why I'm against this being WA release...they sell multitudes of TAS seasons and DC animated movies in stores. Why not make even more money by releasing it wide to the general public?

Humidity is not kind to crappy cardboard. The little tabs wore out opening and closing the case so the wrap around piece that keeps the cardboard closed stopped holding. I still have some that never really had any problems, those two were the worst for me, although they were probably the most watched out of my early DVD collection.

Considering this is Warner Archive, it'll be guaranteed it won't have 5.1 audio.

You would be correct. Per The Digital Bits (EDIT: and, apparently, the first post of this very thread), the audio is DTS-HD 2.0.

HOO-O-O-O-O-O-O-OO-LY F***CK!!!!!!!

I had never expected this to happen. Ever. I was just talking about it on the DVD threads.

Found this info on The World's Finest website

BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM
NEW 2017 1080p HD REMASTER
-Presented in both the original theatrical 16×9 aspect ratio (1.78:1) and open matte 4×3 (1.37:1) aspect ratio
-Run Time 76:00
-Subtitles English SDH
-DTS HD-Master Audio 2.0 Stereo – English
-COLOR
-BD 50
-Theatrical Trailer (HD)

I don't care about the features. It's Mask of the Freakin Phantasm on blu ray in a new transfer!!! This is magical. Got chillls when I read the news!!

Let's hope it looks awesome but still keeps the vintage old film feel of the movie and also hopefully it will sell very well which will push them into releasing the animated series on blu ray!

Honestly WA has been doing a better job at handling the catalog titles anyway so I think it's better that they're releasing it.

Just a theatrical trailer. It depends on when you purchased it, but I still have the original snap case. The re-release was just the same disc.
