I believe this is only showing up early because it is a Dark Force/Code Red title that Kino distributed. If it was strictly Code Red, with Kino distributing, I doubt we'll see it before street date.

My copy just arrived and I'm a little confused. I thought Kino was distributing this? There's nothing on the packaging that indicates Kino had anything to do with this release. To be honest, this kind of looks like a bootleg. It's my first Dark Force title so maybe I'm overreacting a little lol

It's legit. The title was released by Dark Force in partnership with Code Red, with Kino Lorber handling distribution only...so their name won't appear on the package. The title was licensed from Multicom, from whom Code Red has licensed several other titles. Multicom has also touted their involvement in this release on social media.

I would say no overreaction at all. I received mine yesterday and felt the same exact way. The art insert on the case has a weird, overly dark, "off" look about it that screams bootleg also. Not to mention the discs very cheap menu. While not as robust as I had hoped a 4k scan from the ocn would look (probably thanks to Hack O' Lantern which was only 2k) it is the finest presentation of Offerings I've ever seen or expected to ever see before the announcement. Still pleased and will have to pick up those 2 drive-in discs soon! Which I've noticed also have odd looking cover print jobs.

I haven't received mine yet so I can't comment on the picture quality, but Multicom often does their own scans and are known for using excessive DNR, so if you notice a lack of detail and some excessive waxiness, I wouldn't be surprised.

yes, unless you REQUEST to do your own scan, which I did on many of their titles but they have since changed that policy.

It sounds like they changed their policy for the worst, any reason given?

When you say they changed their policy, does that mean they no longer allow you to do your own scan? Cause that would be some bad news...

I've heard a rumor...can't attest to its accuracy...that Scream Factory has actually licensed ALLIGATOR from Multicom...in which case, I'm guessing the issues with their transfers is causing holdups with Scream announcing the title. They probably would have to do a new scan.
MUTANT from Code Red did have some waxiness, unfortunately...another Multicom job. Hopefully, if Dark Force continues to license from Multicom, they can request better transfers, but doesn't sound promising so far.

Multicom appears to be trying to make a name for themselves judging by their snazzy new logo. They won't get too far, though, if they won't let licensees do their own scans and insist on Oliver Krekel-ing everything they touch lol. Regarding Offerings, the PQ was decent, if only a little drab. If they used DNR they did so sparingly but I didn't see anything that made me gag as bad as Mutant. That one needs to be redone. I'm going to watch my DVD copy whenever I feel like watching the film. yikes. BTW, I really enjoyed Offerings. Another awesome blind buy.

If were talking multicom I wouldn't mind seeing blu-ray upgrades of The Convent and both Freeway films possibly in double features if possible

Watched the first drive-in double feature and while it was entertaining they should try to be more like the style that was used by the makers of Dear God No and Frankenstein Created Bikers used for their double feature drive-in mode. Having no "prevues of coming attractions" before the trailers just didn't feel right. I mean at least try to resemble the old Welcome To The Grindhouse/Exploitation Cinema versions of "Drive-In Mode"

So anyone else kinda irked that the 3rd Drive-In disc is only available at certain retailers and not a wide release like the first 2? I was hoping to pick all of them up from amazon for $16.xx with pre-order
