Probably because it's not listed on the IMDb as a comedy and thus doesn't count.

1) There is no rule that IMDb is the authority for this thread that determines what does or doesn't count as comedy
2) Letterboxd, Vudu, and tons of other sites (properly) list it as a comedy
3) It absolutely IS a comedy, as anyone who has seen it would know.

Well, it's true. IMDB doesn't count this as comedy. And has drama as one of the labels. Which is weird, since it's an action-comedy for sure. But I will count it, as it doesn't seem to matter anyway. So far it has no chance.

Which is a travesty. IMDb's oversight has convinced so many people to exclude one of the top 5 comedies of the 90's.

Personally I think nobody has voted for it cause it's terrible. Just kidding. I didn't like it for real, but IMDB is simply wrong here, no doubt. You're right.

I’ve seen it. Personally, not very funny anyway.

The Big Lebowski won’t be making my list either.

I agree it's a great movie. It's on my "maybe" list, but it's one of those movies I wasn't sure how to classify. I remember it being a lot of fun, but not necessarily all that funny. I'm hoping to watch it again before the deadline.

Since we're blindly following what other groups decide counts as a comedy for us even against all logic, does that mean when we do 2010's comedy poll I can vote for The Martian and Get Out? (Thanks, HFPA!)

It's not on my list because I didn't like it well enough to place it in my top 25. I couldn't care less what IMDB classifies it as.
