Was able to pick up an early copy today of the 3D blu-ray. The 3D isn't strong, but I enjoyed it and having Dolby Atmos included is just gravy. I really enjoyed the watch and the movie wasn't as bad as critics have said it was.

BestBuy sent an email that Skyscraper 3D has shipped.
Must be shipping from back East for them to ship it to California this early.
Not supposed to be released until 10-9-18.

Thank you very much, not going to wait for Amacon's price match to take effect in case the price climbs again before shipment. Went ahead and canceled/reordered.

Shipped from Shepherdsville, KY by Alliance Entertainment like 99% of Best Buy’s discs.

Mine shipped today as well. Will likely arrive Monday.

Amacon seems to be faltering with this Universal title as well.

Delivery estimate: We need a little more time to provide you with a good estimate. We'll notify you via e-mail as soon as we have an estimated delivery date.
For a title that is on the eve of release, this is not reassuring. I may have to put in a preorder at Best Buy to ensure I don't miss this release.

Wow - I've never gotten anything early from Best Buy, but my Skyscraper 3D Blu arrived today with a mint embossed (though sadly not 3D) slip! So far the movie seems OK (I agree with those who say Never Campbell's presence should have been advertised more!), and the 3D is medium... good enough to make me happy that I bought the US release, anyway!

Received Skyscraper 3D yesterday, and viewed the first two chapters late last night.
First impression was of 3D consistency, and I decided to set both my Oppo 203 and LG OLED E6P to their 3D default settings.
This is looking like a meticulous conversion where great attention is spent on dimensional detail development.
If the story and 3D hold up for the rest of the movie, it's going to be good entertainment that I will want my relatives to enjoy when they come over.

Skyscraper Blu-ray 3D audio:
English Dolby Atmos 3D
English Dolby TrueHD 7.1
Audio Descriptive Dolby Digital 2-Channel Stereo
French Dolby Digital Plus 7.1
Spanish Dolby Digital Plus 7.1

Whether we're talking color or 3D, when processing happens in the digital domain what would look better? Color processed in 8bits or 24bits? You would get fewer or greater amounts of tone quality that the eye can see.
The same happens digitally with z-plane depth. The tweak increases Z-plane parameter interpolation for a greater visual sense of dimensionality.

Just curious if the 3d was mild or strong?

Amacon still doesn't know when it's shipping, smells like supply issues again. Best Buy, here I come.
