Sure there is always a chance of a bad release, but that could apply to every release then.

That's why I'm not pre-ordering. It's not panic, it's reasonable precaution. There are exceptions like super-anticipated releases or great track record (see Sony). WB hasn't earned that status yet in my eyes.

You’ve got too much time on your hands! Why worry about that, there’s more important things to concentrate your time on. You’re making up issues before it’s even been announced, let alone be a pre-order!

I'm in the OutOfBoose camp. Sort of. I was very lucky to snag The Matrix late last week after having been very disappointed on release date. Waited since I didn't want to pay for poor transfer work.

With that said, I could pre-order and then return it prior to opening if there's a valid rationale for doing so.

I’m not on your back, I’m just saying whats the point of speculating, it’s a waste of time and space on the forums. Talk about stuff we do know about this film! It’s not even out yet on 4k. When The Matrix Reloaded comes out on the format, then we can dissect it whether it be good or bad.

I will say no more on the subject, waste your time on nonsense if you want.

Nah, the stock is pretty good in the UK, first up at least because we barely have any high-street retailers who actually sell 4K discs. I order all my stuff online, have never had a problem with getting UK Warners stock either on or before release date. As soon as these two are up at HMV then I'm slamming my order in.

Yeah, you never see any Brits on here mentioning "I got so and so title from this here store" in these threads like us Americans. It always seems to be online orders.

It's true, it's true. There just isn't a giant presence for physical media in B&M stores any more over here. We have HMV, true enough (tho they almost went out of business a little while back) and supermarkets sell discs too, including those natty vinyl-sized cover editions that Tesco specialise in, but any serious buyer of discs would have migrated to buying online a loooong time ago.

I'm hoping Amazon starts taking advantage of all those Whole Foods locations. We need brick & mortar competition for Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Barnes&Noble. Online shopping is great, but sometimes there's simply no substitute for "I want it. Now!".

TBF, I consider myself at least a semi-serious buyer (haven't been collecting for even a year and look at my collection) and I buy 99% of my discs from Cex or Fopp. They're often cheaper or similar prices and I dislike long waits. So far I've been lucky enough to only have needed Amazon 3 times, and it's never been a problem of shops not having the titles in stock. There are only 8 Fopps though, and HMV is worse on price, so I can certainly see why people switch to online. Plus, these Zavvi steelbooks...

Cex is money, the one in Boston is where I found a $10 copy of the Justice League War Steelbook.

Even my "pre-loved" buys come from online purchases.

I don't know if it was posted or not but I found that on screenshotcomparison.com:

Could it be from the new master?

No, it's from a publicity still.

It's from publicity stills, but I hope it looks like this on UHD.

Yeah but which ones? Never seen any publicity still that looked like this.
If they are recent stills, they might be from the new master.
I mean, it's the same sort of color signature that we currently have on the first film so let's hope!
