Yeah, I received the same email regarding my Amazon pre-order yesterday.

I do think it's still coming out... once the production delays get sorted out that is.

Edit: I just got a "Delivery Estimate" email on the pre-order, and it says it should be delivered on November 1st. Late, but I think we can say it's coming now!

you assume all ordered from Amazon and have prime. may not be the case.

My Amazon order shipped earlier, and should be here on Saturday the 27th. Faster than the Nov. 1st date they quoted before, so I'm not complaining.

I received mine earlier today...

The disc is a BD-50 (46gb in size) so both films have pretty solid bitrates. The HD transfers look pretty good, certainly a nice improvement over the old Sony DVD-R releases of the films. No signs of DNR or other such manipulation.

No Features or Subtitles for either film. The audio tracks are Uncompressed PCM.

I will be getting my copy in the mail on 10/29/18 from Amazon. I had kept forgetting I had this pre-ordered but can't wait to check it out. Mill Creek Entertainment has stepped up their game in recent months with a good portion of their blu-ray releases. Since they switched to the AVC codec rather than MPEG-2, I have seen an improvement in picture quality for the most part. I am not sure why they have reverted back to their no English subtitles ways though which is slightly disappointing.

Mill Creek did a pretty good job with both transfers this time. The AVC encodes are quite solid, with both films having a high bitrate maxed on a BD-50.

Shadow of the Hawk does have a "Stereo" audio track though. I could be mistaken, but I always thought it was a Mono movie originally... and the Stereo did seem a little echo-y at times (albeit not that bad) like perhaps it was just converted from Mono or something. I don't remember it sounding that way on the old Sony DVD-R release.

I thought they would have included English subtitles also, as they did for many of their recent Sony licensed releases. That's really my only real complaint, but dialogue isn't difficult to discern on either film.

Also if anyone overseas is interested in this release, the disc is actually REGION FREE (confirmed on a multi-region player) even though an "A" region appears on the back cover.

Watched Nightwing earlier today. It wasn't what I was expecting but I found it enjoyable. Had a TV movie feel about it. I don't know what gave me the impression this was an 80's body count movie. For nine bucks, I think this is well worth it.
