But does it mean that we see more or has the picture just been zoomed? If they just zoom it then it would be great if they included the version with black bars on the sides too.

You’ll be seeing the entire width of the exposed image on the original 35mm negative.

The composition of 1.85:1 is what the director and DP intended for the original theatrical presentation.

They should be getting released in Australia too, as the others recently were.

Universal releases are usually region free anyway.

I was going to hold off on the complete monsters collection, in the hopes that a UHD set comes at some point in the future (not say it's likely....)

BUT, as my favorite of the Universal Monsters, and still one of my top 3 practical creatures, I might still have to get this set to replace my 2004 DVD version, and go right next to my Alex Ross steelbook.

I was fortunate enough back in 2012? 2013? to see a 60th anniversary, 3-D screening with Julie Adams in house for a Q&A before the movie. She still seemed in great spirits, and good health. She had her son with her, which was good. She did tend to go off on tangents, and he was able very gently reel her back in to the question at hand.

Just discovered that the discount only applies to items on the Aussie site, so may cancel the order as the shipping costs make this pricier than it need be.

Talk about misleading!

Hey Robert, always love your posts here, thanks for sharing this!
I had not seen most of those publicity materials, and love the picture of the 3D glasses with The Creature on them.

Can't wait to screen this in my living room, something I could only have dreamed of when I was a kid!

T minus 10 days! Finally, Revenge of the Creature in actual 3-D! It's right around the corner. It will be a big double feature for me on the 28th, Revenge followed by Walks Among Us. Can't wait for that day!

Slightly off topic but did anyone here own the 1999 VHS of the first Creature? If so quick question. Was the trailer included on that release the same as the trailer(s) included on the DVD/BD or was it by any chance this trailer which for some reason is not included on the DVD/BD releases??

Exclamation Complete Legacy Collection Blu-ray prices?

Will Creature from the Black Lagoon: Complete Legacy Collection Blu-ray & The Invisible Man: Complete Legacy Collection Blu-ray get to that $14.99 price during BF/CM that we saw for the The Wolf Man: Complete Legacy Collection Blu-ray, etc. last yr.?

I'm thinking of canceling my pre-orders from AMZ & waiting for those prices!

I agree ~ I can't afford the current Amazon preorder price of nearly 30 bucks.

I'm looking forward to the collection, but I think I'll wait and see if there's a Black Friday deal since I already have the original film on BD, and only need the sequels.
