It'll definitely be fun to play like all the other Halo games, the fact there's post release patches to add in next gen features concerns me a bit. They said this is the first Halo to launch with a new Xbox console since OG. They were desperate to release this day one and I feel like they have had to make sacrifices.

If we look at the Series X/Windows 10 exclusive titles they all look significantly better than this, so I wonder how much an toll having to work on an OG Xbox One has taken on this game.

Def looks like this game was made for last gen but they weren't able to get it done in time. So, its now a launch title for Series X. Either way it looks great to me. Just need to see MP footage because that's where 95% of my Halo gameplay comes from.

It's their Destiny. They will be releasing story content for it and updating over the next decade, that is to say there will be no sequels just expansions.

Get used to this guys. I'm telling you, MS wants to move everything to the GAAS model because that is what best serves Game Pass. Why do you think Forza has no number behind it now? Exactly. It's going to game pass and they're going to microtransaction and DLC the hell out of it because MS knows that's where the money is made. Now we're hearing Fable will be an MMO. If you're cool with that Sea of Thieves/Destiny model, hey more power to you!

Destiny is rolling in to its 7th year now. It's got another year or two worth of content to come, I'm sure it'll hit 10 years.

Halo all depends on if they can replicate that Destiny experience, will they be able to keep players coming back for daily/weekly raids and events? Will the story expansions be enough to keep people interested?

That's purely because Activision forced it through. It's still the same game, same locations Activision believed it wouldn't sell unless they released a numbered game every year. This is why bungie split from Activision, and now if you look at their Road Map they aren't doing any numbered sequels. It's just a rotation of old and new areas being brought in and out depending on what season you are on. There will never be another numbered Destiny game now Bungie has regained control.

From what I understand, that was forced upon Bungie by Activision. Bungie never wanted to do a Destiny "2." They just wanted to keep building on the original.

Fable got announced like 3 hours ago...let's let the news come as it does.

Honestly, more games need to come out with this model. Let Forza be free with GP with dlc. And let it last for years. It beats buying the same game every 2 years. If only sports games can do that

fwiw I remember the Halo 5 beat graphics were also pretty weak. They improved dramatically by launch. Hopefully its the same situation for Infinite. *shrugs shoulders*

I think everything that is shown at events is work in progress, there's going to be massive updates to improve this game post launch, and with a 10 year life cycle they have the time to do it.
