I'm surprised there is such overwhelming hate for these. I guess I get not liking them, but it isn't like the concepts aren't based off key imagery/items from the movies. I don't think they are home runs or anything, but they were preferable to me over the slips. I'd rather have the shiny green/black color scheme over the monochromatic white/blue of the slips.

The inner arts aren't switched. Reloaded's has a shot from the rave and Revolutions' has the multiple Smiths all lined up to watch the final smackdown.

I don't think it is. The inner artwork for Revolutions is when Neo is about to have the final fight with Smith.

I don't get the hate either. I think they look pretty nice myself.

Just ordered these because I was on the fence about the artwork and my only justification is that I own these movies in DVD format only. I'm a sucker for a good movie in a Steelbook no matter how horrid the artwork.

I wasn't planning on picking them up because I absolutely hated the sequels when they came out but I had some reward certificates and maybe it's a good time to see if my thoughts on them change after 15 years. Sucks that they were only available for store pick-up. It would have been nice to be able to knock off another three dollars.

Just saw that these went down to $30, might be low enough to tempt me into buying Reloaded. Ugh. Gonna be a 10am game time decision.

I really like the design, but I recently watched the trilogy and it doesn't hold up for me at all. The CGI is just horrid and probably looks even worse in 4K. Revolutions is one big CGI fest too. Plus the plot remains a confusing mess to me.

As much as I love the first Matrix, the trilogy as a whole is something I have no desire to ever watch again. Easy pass for me.
