Agreed but I guess I should have said relative monopoly. They control too much of what people watch.

As long as a lot of people watch them, that's all that matters.

Most likely. I feel like they'll move the series streaming to Hulu which will house the Marvel Television shows. It already has streaming rights to Agent Carter and Cloak & Dagger as well as their exclusive Marvel shows like Runaways and the upcoming animated shows. Plus A.O.S. is already on the site and will stream the most recent episodes after they've aired. All they'll have to do is add the rest of the show.

My only real complaint is that I'm a little disappointed that they didn't confirm if Disney Afternoon/One Saturday Morning shows like Darkwing Duck, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, and Mickey Mouse Works as well as Walt Disney Treasures type content like the Disney short films, Walt-era Television, and the People and Places series will be included. But since we still have over seven months until launch, let's hope that they're just waiting for later to announce them!
Does this mean that Simpsons will no longer be available on the FX app if you log in with your cable subscription?

Seems like it. They said it would be exclusively streaming on Disney+.

Definitely a fair deal for all that content.

Amazing! Gimme it all now! I wonder if there will be a Disney+ app available on my Sony 4K TV. I don’t have an Apple TV and would like to subscribe without purchasing additional equipment

I wonder if they will let people test out a beta or have some sort or preregistration.

Also nice to see that it'll be on XB1 and the Switch.

Uhh...so many services, it is all a la carte now.

I might drop Netflix as there isn't much I really watch on their tbh.

I mainly use Hulu for American Dad, King of the Hill, Futurama, and Archer.

Amazon Prime is mainly for The Grand Tour.

At least with Disney+ it'll have a lot more content I'll end up watching.

I'd watch that High School Musical series if it had the original cast

Combination of content + price impresses me. I believe I’ll be adding my 3rd service to compliment Netflix & Prime. I only have basic cable so I’ll be around $100 a month for all 4

Hmmm, $100/mth seems high. Unless I messed up the calculation, I think I calculated just D+, Netflix and Amazon should work to $30 - $35 per month

High Speed Internet + the basic cable price + Netflix + Prime + Disney + will come in around $100 a month. And now my bill just went up $15 a month (since that post) I just added HBO for the last season of GoT.

I'm in at that price. It's an appealing and wisely priced launch. I doubt it will be $6.99 this time next year since it's Disney.

It's cool Disney+ will offer up 4K HDR where it's available.

Psychotic that Netflix charges $16 for the privilege.

Wow, I'm surprised by the pricing. I might end up signing up for the full year. That's almost half the price of Netflix.

Even at that “impressive” price, I can’t bring myself to waste money on rental content that I have no control over.

You never rented videos back in the day? This is like paying $70 to live in the rental store for a year. Just enjoy it while you're there.
