Out of all the announced shows, this is the one I'm most unsure of. I like the character a lot in Rogue One but I'm not quite sure how they're going to pull this off. If they allow the character to be a complex, and mostly non-heroic character, we could get an interesting few episodes out of the concept. It would also be cool if we could get Forest Whitaker back as Saw, but I can't remember off the top of my head if Cassian mentioned if he knew him or not.

I wonder how much the cgi has improved since 2016. Will be interesting to see how Tarkin looks.

Haven't watched the video, but not sure why they just wouldn't go with an actor, all the major players from the original trilogy will get recast at some point.

I can't imagine the show would have the budget to do anything but recast the role.

Sources say Gilroy was forced to drop off as director due to COVID-19 related travel reasons. Gilroy lives in New York and had to make a decision quickly on whether he would head over to the U.K. for the shoot and in the end thought it would be best that he stay in New York and have Haynes take over his directing duties.

Haynes was already high on the list of directors who would direct future episodes and since he was also already in the U.K., all parties thought this would make the most sense. Gilroy will stay very much involved with the seres as exec producer and show runner.

The series revolves around the Cassian Andor character, played by Diego Luna in the feature film, and is currently in pre-production will plans to start shooting next month.

D+ is really going to start cranking out the SW content. Mando season 2&3, cassian show, boba fett show and obi wan show. Exciting times!

"The volume" is a game changer. Just imagine how good it's going to get as the technology advances and they get better at utilizing it.

Yes. There's a docuseries on D+ about the making of season 1, called The Gallery, and there is a whole episode about the technology they developed to make the show, including a lot about the Volume
