Don't visit forums about movies you haven't seen. Or if you do, don't get bent out of shape when you find out something about a movie made in the early eighties. Some people don't like to be told they can't openly discuss movies that are so old they could have children in college.

It's not a film forum so much as a Blu-ray forum. Some people might like to know what the extras are and whether the AV quality is good before they buy a film they might not have seen without having the ending blown.

Using spoiler tags is a courtesy to those people. And when the film was made is immaterial.

There's a movie discussion section where you can discuss the plot of a film. This section is for discussing the disc release. If that doesn't suit you, you're in the wrong place.

In that case, I shall go back and delete everything I wrote about how I love the film, the acting, and the final 1/2 hour, if all we can discuss is the disc and nothing about the film or plot itself.

What a load of bollocks.

You get it! Yes go ahead and delete. Guess what? I don’t give a toss whether you love this film and I doubt many other people care either. It bares no relevance on discussing the disc being released.

I'd never wade into a thread about a movie older than about a year without assuming I would spoiled within. Avoiding spoilers is relatively easy provided one doesn't feel as if one needs to butt into places where one ought not go.
So because I may not have seen every film released in 1983 I am 'too touchy' to be in a forum reading about the new release. So I am butting in by reading a thread about a movie I may be interested in. There was me thinking that was possibly two reasons for being on the forum. Let me get my tools to help adjust your attitude a little.

If all we are allowed to post about are things relating to the disc release, and not the films themselves, I think the UK section of this forum would suddenly look a whole lot emptier...

If all I read about was if Sainsburys has it on the shelf, or whether there's a slipcase or steelbook available, I think I'd do myself in!

I don't think anyone is suggesting that we shouldn't discuss the movie, but surely you understand what a possible spoiler may be and believe it or not most movie reviews don't include spoilers. There is a facility to hide a possible spoiler if you wish to mention it and it's only being courteous to do so.

I do understand, and I appreciate the polite way you put it rather than the geezer above who "doesn't give a toss" what I like, so cheers.

In short.

If it's a spoiler, be polite and tag it. Regardless of age.
I for one unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to see all the films, but I do like spoiler free info etc so I can make a judgement whether I'll pick up the release.

Lets draw a line under it and crack on

Already confirmed on their Facebook it’s Region B locked.

Time to get a region free player then, my friend.

I appreciate that this film is unlikely to feature in too many people's top 10 lists for horror films, but I've always loved it (I currently own the US special edition on dvd from some years ago), so I'm really looking forward to having an excuse to watch it again. Kudos to Eureka for such a huge stack of extras too - I calculate around 6 hours plus commentary - got to say, would have loved a Stephen Jones/Kim Newman one on this.

Didn't realise the extras were going to be quite that comprehensive!

Seem like an odd distribution over the discs though. The movie, commentary & 4+ hours of video extras on disc 1, & just over 2 hours of video extras on disc 2?

I'd have thought it'd make more sense to spread them a bit more evenly & give the movie more room to breathe, but what do I know.
