I don’t think this can be done without the manic Cage performance and the accompanying Travolta performance aping Cage after said FACE/OFF. But as everyone says, if I can get a better disc of the original, I’m all for it.

I watched this (for about the 50th time) wednesday and loved it just as much as when I first saw it 20 years ago.

But a sequel or remake? Whatever. Action films now days are piss poor anyway

1) if its a sequel, how does that remotely work?

2) if its a remake, how does that remotely work?

3) is it new actors or original cast? (Im assuming the former so it wont capture what made the original so good)

If its a sequel my guess is maybe the bad guy gets hold of the face swapping tech to do evil..

Or to make it more interesting and convoluted..have the protganist become the bad guy but in doing so enjoys the lifestyle so much he actually becones an even bigger threat than the original antagonist..

There was a smidgen of Sean Archer enjoying his new face in Detricks house in the original

These shite remakes are only good for one thing - ensuring the original, far better movies get a tie-in UHD release

So with a bit of luck we're gonna get Face/Off and Planes, Trains and Automobiles remastered and on disc in the next year or two.

They mention removing Travolta's love handles. I assume they added fat to Cage's body and changed other things...

The real question is, did they mess with Mr. Winky?
