I’ve enjoyed all three of the Nolan Batman films, of the Raimi Spider-Man films, I only like the second one.

Nolan’s Batman movies are the best itineration of that character, while I think the MCU movies have done a better job with Spider-Man than the Raimi films.

When it comes to Raimi, I far prefer Darkman to any of his Spider-Man movies, it’s one of my favourite superhero movies of all time.

Why don't we all regroup with our respective metal bands and go on a co-headlining tour?

Guess you didn't see the post where I said MCU humor was lame. It's not about jokes.

Right, that's my big problem with the movie. The end devolves into Michael Bay disaster porn.

Nah, all I said is a dude dressing in spandex or like a bat is inherently silly. Nolan did a good job of making that seem less ridiculous, but a lot of lesser films (the DCEU) just seem like their reach exceeds their grasp in trying to make the films "dark". Like I said, I think Watchmen was great, and it was incredibly serious and self-important. Superhero films are absurd by nature, so if you don't have a great movie backing the subject it's predisposed to fail miserably underneath the weight of the ludicrous premise.

Something that the Spider-Man trilogy expertly averts. These are compelling, fun, and uplifting films. Imagine if Zack Snyder was in charge of Spider-Man, we probably would have gotten emo Peter Parker right out of the gate, and not had to wait on the suit in Spidey 3.

Exactly. And IMO it's such a shame, since I really like the rest of the film. Oh well.

I say that both trilogies are on equal footing as starting off from good to great flicks but stumbling on their strongly underwhelming third entries.

I have to go with Nolan's Trilogy for a few reasons
- While most people love the first two Spider-Man movies and hate the third, I personally wasn't a huge fan of the first one. It felt too by the numbers and almost boring.
- I know mostly everyone hates the third installments in both of these, I don't completely hate Rises. It's easily the worst movie of the Dark Knight trilogy but it does have some solid moments and is a decent ending to the trilogy
- While Batman's voice in these movies is criticized, I thought he pulled off being Bruce Wayne and Batman. Tobey I thought was great as Peter Parker but I thought he was ok as Spider-man
- Dark Knight Trilogy also feels less dated to me compared to the Spider-man trilogy

Batman is a dark character, Nolan was staying true to the character.

My two favorite Superheroes. Nolan's Batman trilogy is just a little better thanks to Spider-Man 3. I don't hate it but SM3 was such a missed opportunity.
The Dark Knight Rises was ok just too long. Same story could have been told 30 minutes shorter.

Tdkr isn’t Hated at all. It has 87% on rotten Tomatoes and 8.4 on IMDb and made a billion. It has just a loud minority

Nolan's Batman films, easily. Consistently incredible movies, those. I love Spider-Man 2, though. The first one is a little too by the numbers and 3 goes so bonkers that it's nearly as enjoyable as the second for very different reasons.

I think none of the Nolan Batman movies is as perfect as Spider-Man 2, but overall the dark knight trilogy is more consistent.

Spider-Man 8/10
Spider-Man 2 9/10
Spider-Man 3 6/10

Batman Begins 9/10
The Dark Knight 10/10
Dark Knight Rises 8/10

The Batman trilogy is more consistent to me. Rises is not nearly as steep a drop in quality as Spider-Man 3. Even though I did enjoy Spider-Man 3 (I saw it twice in theaters). But I saw each of the Batman movies three or four times in theaters.

This isn't even close. Tobey's Spiderman isn't even the best Spidey trilogy. That belongs to Homecoming, Far From Home, and Avengers Parts1+2!

Gotta go with Nolan's trilogy.

Maybe it's partly because there have been so many Spider-Man movies since, but the Raimi trilogy feels much more dated. I love both, but gotta pick Nolan- each movie is an epic.
