I’d get JAWS 2 in 4K as well. 3 & 4 are just sh*t.

We've have yet to hear the particulars of the UHD and if will be further tweaked with HDR10+ and/or Dolby Vision.
June 2 can't get here fast enough.

While I am sure that a 4K Jaws release is coming, that particular tweet is from DenOfGeeks (formerly Reelcinematics) so I would take the release date with a pinch of salt. The attached cover artwork is also a fanmade one based on the Nordic cover. It even has "Nick+Den" written on the W in Jaws,

More than likely, this classic will be released on June 2nd this year! Nothing official yet but the rumors and speculations are piling on. AND Blu-ray.com just created a page of Jaws 4k today with that date listed. Usually when that happens, its likely going to release on that date.

I have Jaws 3D on blu-ray and it's fun in 3D due to very strong 80's 3D, but it's otherwise garbage, with some laughable effects.

Jaws 2 is certainly a decent sequel though.

I’m not an admirer of the orange skin tones from the 2012 release. I hope the 4K is an improvement.
We could have gotten way, way worse. I don't mind it.

I saw it theatrically last summer and the new restoration was sensational. If the disc can put that presentation on my OLED, with a smidgen of HDR to have that light on the water shimmer all the more - I’ll be very happy. Just don’t mess with it universal.

Same here...it's guilty pleasure cheese but I don't care lol!!

As for Jaws, man, all over it day one! The BD looks pretty solid upscaled on a 4k rig but I'll gladly hop on the boat for an upgrade, especially with the original mono audio track (but that's not a deal breaker for me).

Right now he’s the 2nd director with most 4K releases 9. He’s right behind Ridley Scott with 11 releases.

Spielberg apparently has some sort of clause with Universal that prevents the simultaneous release of his film with the others, as he had nothing to do with any of them and wants no association with his film. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the sequel and The Revenge are planned for release in the next year, though I doubt we will EVER see 3 due to the low-quality nature of the 3D film assets, which require a proper and comprehensive digital restoration and clean-up to make useful at 4K and Universal likely won't pay for that. However, I would love to see the original/workprint cut of 3 restored in HD to give the film a proper release, as the theatrical one is a disaster, missing many character scenes that actually improve the film and make it feel like a proper Jaws entry, instead of a whorish cash-grab.

This should be a easy day 1 purchase for me. Just wish they would announce already the release date for The Back to the Future trilogy. Unniversal has already announced The Goonies and Jaws, BBTF should be next.
