A 4K restoration would have been nice but at least they aren't just dumping the existing HD master on the blu-ray. That was my main worry about this blu-ray release.

The jacket box art was arguably pretty important during the video store era. I'm glad they're using the original artwork and even more glad that there's both a new scan and a commentary track.

BD-R you didn’t get shit when it came to extras or anything of that

There's the potential that Sony may re-release it like they did Little Women.

This is a great film. Joyce Hyster was excellent in this. I don't know why she never caught on. I thought she did a great job posing as a teenage boy and you understood why people were drawn to him/her, like Sherilynn Fenn's character.

I remember I saw this in cinemas in 1985. I was nine years old. The famous scene was a wowzer but it works in the context of the film.

Nah, beyond the title and vague plot similarity it really had nothing to do with Just One of the Guys.

I guess you could call it an unofficial sequel, but none of the same studios or people were involved with it... kinda like Meatballs Part II and Meatballs 4.

Yeah I couldn’t watch that DVD anymore, ended up buying the movie on iTunes, HD and widescreen. Of course the bluray is finally coming out lol.
