Never owned this on any format, damn fine time to pick it up then (day one lol)..most likely it will never look any better and it's the last shot at owning these classics in physical form...can't wait for this one!

Already own the Ultimate Collector's edition, so unless there's some exceptional PQ, and some extras to go with it, I'm not feeling the need to upgrade.

I ALMOST watched the blu-ray again a few days ago and then saw this. I’ll wait. Seminal film from my youth. Saw this in the theater and have loved it ever since. Silly fun.

I thought the same way. I don't have a 4k setup yet, but I do have Atmos.
And a 4k remaster of a blu-ray that I already own is always welcome.
Same goes for movies that get a Atmos track instead of a TrueHD 5.1 track.

With that logic and no 4k yet I don't miss out much.
I'll probably get back from that policy once I see HDR10 or Dolby Vision.

Even if you already have the BRD of Karate Kid, Backdraft, Field of Dreams, A few good men, or Alien, you are really going to need those ones again on UHD.

Looking forward to the reviews of it. If it's a knock-out transfer, I'll upgrade as I like this movie quite a bit, and the surround is rather nice on the BD, so it has a lot of potential.
