Love those uniforms. Spock looks so much better here than he did in DIS season 2.

Hope it's good. Going in with low/no expectations.

Best way to do it. I don't have any confidence that this show will just be Star Trek. All other modern Trek has been rubbish.

Looks good. Man, I really hope that we finally get a good live-action Star Trek show again. Discovery with its cheesy plot devices and the over-acting, whiny Mary Sue in the lead role has been almost unbearable. Christopher Pike was probably the best character in that show, so it's good to see him get his own.

The only absurd thing is your post. You’re just sore because you did t come up with the idea yourself.

Can only hope Kurtzman/Goldsman have learned from the mistakes of Picard & Discovery, however unlikely that may be.

Looking forward to this (once it hits disc)! Have enjoyed all the recent Trek shows but hope this stands apart from them (as they all do now).

Yeah, bringing TREK inline with the 21st Century rather than the 1990s. A real "mistake".

The show's premiere date has been announced as May 5th, and it's been renewed for season 2.

The cast for this looks impressive, though I haven't seen Discovery so I can't comment in that regard. But I'm hopeful that the writing is good so the show retains a high standard of quality.

I'm apprehensively optimistic about it, if it's anything like what we saw of them in Season 2 of STD then it should be far better than that car crash.

Hope this brings the star trek feels and not do what discovery did. Love Anson Mount in hell on wheels!

Yeah, I really liked the Pike-era Enterprise we saw in Discovery S2.

Honestly, this show has so much going for it, from the cast to the visual aesthetics of the ship/bridge. If the writing is at least Voyager level sci-fi tale-of-the-week I'll be happy. (Would obviously prefer it to be TNG S3-S6 quality, though).

Great, more neutrino deus-ex-machinas and the most possibly interesting sequences visually are reduced to the crew watching LCARS graphics

God, I'm really really trying not to get my hopes up for this but they're making this hard not to. That's a cracking poster, sort of thing you'd find on one of the old Star Trek novels from the '80s

The promotional work is usually on point and so are the interviews. I just want the product to match the hype.
