Might be interested ... if the workprint is included.
Yup it's basically Alien meets Hellraiser with a dash of Warhammer 40K.

Hopefully they'll use this artwork for the reverse sleeve.

[Show spoiler]
I'm not sure that they need a bunch of e-mails directing them to the same thing.

What might be nice is to reach out, very respectfully, to anyone involved with the film and let them know to contact Shout! if they want to set up an interview. I'm really hoping that they can get something out of Sam Neil for this one, but obviously, Laurence Fishburne, Kathleen Quinlan and/or Joely Richardson would all be super exciting, too.

Having said that, I'd forgotten that the extras on the Paramount Blu-ray (which I haven't watched altogether, if at all, in many years) are pretty comprehensive, including the 103-minute multi-part documentary that's longer than the film itself, so I'm not really sure what Shout! can hope to accomplish here "Collector's Edition"-wise if they don't at least find a copy of the workprint or much more deleted footage, given that the major actors involved might well not want to talk about this one. I recall that Anderson and Jeremy Bolt were heavily involved in the SE DVD and Blu-ray extras before, so I'm not sure how much more they can contribute, while Adrian Biddle and Michael Kamen are no longer with us.

I think if worse comes to worse and the search for lost footage fails and major talent turns them down or are busy, then Shout! should really consider going back to Paramount and asking for a UHD license and putting their new 4K scan (which hopefully will have an HDR grade, regardless) on a UHD BD.

Exactly. How does having 100 people e-mailing them the same thing serve a purpose?

It’s not like they need convincing. They’re asking for help on this.

Laurence Fishburne is always a busy actor and doesn't seem the type to do interviews for older films unless they are important films like maybe Boyz n the Hood or The Matrix. Sam Neill maybe but Shout couldn't get him for In the Mouth of Madness

the 4K scan and potential workprint are the main draws for this release

Paramount gave Event Horizon royal treatment on DVD especially considering it was a box office bomb. DTS sound, commentary track, 100 minute long documentary, other behind the scenes videos, still galleries with sketches of deleted material etc.

Any chance this will have a DTSX or Atmos mix?

Simply making them aware that this news came out is a start just in case they're not aware of this themselves.

At least it's something.

This could potentially lead them to reach out to Paul W.S. Anderson and/or Lloyd Levin.

I really enjoy this movie so I'll have to pick it up. Although I really wish this was a 4k release.

If they can release the extra hell footage this would be one of the greatest home video releases of all time.

When I saw how much they did for their release of From Beyond I was really impressed and grateful!

Indeed. Though it works a lot better than Hellraiser: Bloodlines, which actually was Hellraiser in Space.

Definitely buying this, no matter what! I have zero belief that they could do anything about The Director's Cut than just "restored" it as good as they can for the extras on the disc. My biggest hope goes that the 4K restoration will be from THE ORIGINAL CAMERA NEGATIVE and that they do justice for the scan with best possible compression they can.
I couldn't care less even about the possibility of uhd. Standard Blu-ray is all I'm after.

Does this mean that Shout Factory now has access to Paramount titles?

Maybe a Blu-ray for The Loved Ones or The Ring Two for example?

They really need to rethink who they use to design their new artwork. I know you can reverse it usually but you cant reverse the slipcover

They've had access to the Paramount Library for several months now. "My Bloody Valentine, April Fools Day, etc.".

I am severely looking forward to this release if it is a true 'Collector's Edition' with the correct aspect ratio.

If this doesn't have the correct aspect ratio, then what's the use? How many different versions of that same lame BD releases are there going to be?
