I love director Chen Kaige, and Yellow Earth and Farewell My Concubine are astounding films

I love the art for this film. I have the poster hanging in my entrance hallway with the woman smoking the cigarette. Such a fantastic poster. The only thing that could have make it better was having Jennifer Connolly featured in it.

Has anyone who received it already checked out the transfer? This is one of my most anticipated releases of the year to be honest, hoping it looks great!

It's not in KLSC's track record to release a region free disc. Anything is possible, but it's most certainly not expected.

Looks great indeed. Very nice improvement over the old Shout disc.

It's a great little film, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

The screenshots look pretty good, certainly an improvement over the old Shout Blu-ray... colors look especially vivid.

My pre-order shipped yesterday from Bull Moose, so should be here by Monday.

Has anyone that ordered this from Amazon gotten a shipping notice yet? The product page shows its release date is May 4th, but for some reason it's showing it won't be delivered until June 9th :-(

Nope. Ordered my copy on April 12th. Hope that June 9th estimate is wrong.
