That's great! I submitted it a second time earlier today and it looks like it finally got approved. Hopefully this will help bring more attention to the campaign so we can meet the goal.

Keep spreading the word to make known the importance of this project. Just 17 days left and $45K is needed to scan and restore the first 22 Little Rascal sound shorts.

BURIED TREASURES

We've performed at least 15 test scans on the Rascal sound shorts so far that are unusable, so when we find one that is sharp with good basis for restoration, it's like finding a buried treasure.

This week, we've found 3: When the Wind Blows, School's Out and, one of my personal favorites, Shiver My Timbers.

Check out the raw scans below (no sound, not yet restored). The underlying sharpness and the depth of image these new scan can provide is incredible and when the restorations are complete, it will be like watching them for the first time.

Agreed. I also wonder if it would help & create a sense of urgency if the thread title explicitly mentioned that donations are needed to restore The Little Rascals from original elements within the next xx days or something similar.

They need to take a page out of Bob Furmanek's playbook. He's a promotional machine with his 3-D Kickstarter projects. He carpetbombs (in a good way) the major forums--this one, HTF, etc.--with non-stop updates and information throughout the campaigns.

In contrast, the link to this campaign is nowhere to be found in the OP of the ClassicFlix thread, and I'm not even sure if an easily accessible link is anywhere in the entire thread.

it also needs a better click bait title suggesting there is a fund raising campaign going on. Yes, those with some interest will click on it just by the title, but it lacks a call to action or urgency until you get into it.

No idea if others are like me or not, but I personally haven't had good experiences with Indiegogo.

Kickstarter is my drug of choice, and I'd be all over this if that was the platform they had chosen.

In any case, I look forward to grabbing this release once it comes out.
