At some point in the 20x0 “Me Too” and politically correctness era, Hollywood movies stopped featuring gratuitous scenes (i.e. the type of shots that you can find in Euro films) Maybe something to do with MPAA ratings?

Also, it is cool that Zack Snyder does not care about Hollywood political correctness. His extended versions (BvS, ZSJL) still have his particular style of gratuity. This I like.

Seemingly half of everything (especially Netflix) will feature one or more gratuitous sapphic rolls in the hay.

Guess that's where the era of metoo & the 4th wave of feminism has taken us. Its like the movies are saying traditional hetero turn-ons are toxic and outdated.

The nudity stopped way before Me Too and the MPAA association is definitely to blame. Studios realized that PG movies were making more money (kids paid to go to the movies) and they all started to comply with the conservative rating system in order to get broader audiences. R rated movies struggled to get financing.

Stone has always been quite outspoken and ready to rally behind a cause but this post hashtag MeToo era where she is now claiming she was “tricked” is nothing more than BS to appeal to the current trend.

I guess it’s just a coincidence that this also happens to be getting her name out there with a release of her new book. The hype behind the scene is stupid. Blink and you will miss it.

I assume she felt so degraded after BI that she had no other choice but to make Sliver directly afterwards to help her get over the trauma and then go to make a terrible sequel to BI 13 years later.

Some may scoff, but I think Stone should have gotten a Best Actress nomination for Basic Instinct. Name one other performance that year that was as assured and memorable. Actually name one other performance that was nominated. Period.

Look at the show "shameless" It used to feature a lot of female nudity. This season though only shows gay sex and male nudity. No more naked women. or sex between hetero couples.

Not really. Sure we saw her naked a bunch, but we also so so many other female characters naked. Now the only sex is with gay cahracters. I have no issue with the characters, i like ian and whats his face, but no more hetero sex happens.

They also ruined Altered Carbon with checking off woke boxes.
I love going back and watching older movies like beverly hills cop because they werent worried about offending idiots and said some outrageous and hilarious stuff.

Hahaha, if y'all want skin, there are quite a handful of Netflix shows that will provide. That ballet show, Tiny Pretty Things, got some news attention online due to its seemingly excessive and unnecessary sexual content, though most people were balking that it involved high school age teens (or just-arrived-in college age?), but I can't be sure as I didn't actually watch the show from start to finish.

Stuff coming out of Spain and Italy is also usually pretty indifferent to censorship standards here. For what it's worth.

Also, Normal People is a thing. That was pretty frank.

Call me crazy but I always thought that the sight of two women getting it on was a "traditional hetero turn-on" (at least for guys anyway).

During the 80s R-rated movies were king because they knew kids would still be able to watch them anyway, now PG-13 is the desired rating.

Or, you know, the myriad porn sites available. I would imagine that the easy access to as much porn as you could possibly want nowadays is another reason whey there's not as much need or want for graphic depictions of sex in mainstream movies.
