Remastered Blu-ray confirmed with Dolby Atmos.

I got the French BD boxset.
Can this really look that much better as its meant to be a gritty movie.

Theatrical cut of the first three films. Some variations have Saw & Saw II sharing a BD-50, other versions have them on their separate BD-25 discs. They share a UPC and packaging, so there's no guarantee which version you'll actually get.

(Canada's actually released Blu-Rays of theatrical cuts for all the films except for Saw IV.)

They'll probably do the sequels if this sells well... which tbh, I don't think it will.
The 10th Anniversary Release bombed hard, even by re-release standards.
Most people who like these movies already own them, and I doubt they'd care too much for seeing them in 4K. Would be curious to know how well Jigsaw's UHD sold.
It just feels like the target audience for this series is teenagers, and not the type that are into collecting movies. And this isn't a jab at the Saw movies, as I like 'em, it's just how it is.

Oddly enough, it seems like I've seen dozens of "Saw clones" without seeing this. The only one I've seen was the most recent film in theaters.

Personally I'll be happy if they just redo the first 3, given the incredibly bad quality of the original releases. From IV onwards the encoding became good enough that any upgrade wouldn't be a huge one, but those first 3 are all garbage with mpeg-2 video and lossy audio.

Did you see the 6th one, by chance? Or Jigsaw?

Agreed, it's such a unique horror franchise that seems to be unfairly dismissed as being just "torture porn" (man I hate that phrase).

For me, SAW II has always been the best entry in the franchise. That's the one I hope gets a 4K!!

From a filmmaking standpoint the first one is the best, I don't think anyone can argue about that. But for me personally the sillier the sequels got, the more entertaining they became.
The first one is like watching a crappier version of Se7en and not even the traps are all that enjoyable.

Japan has part 1+2 r-rated, all others are available in Italy.

They should've just left this franchise alone after the 7th film.

Should have left it alone after the 1st 4. Hopefully these new films are better than the last few.

Will never understand why these studios use new trash art instead of instantly recognizable iconic art.
