Correct. Not sure if 2D 4DX is cheaper because I’m not that keen on watching 2D movies at the cinema

Are any of the 4DX screens 4k laser projectors now, or are they still the old bulb 2k projectors?

I think some 4DX locations may be dual projection now. The one in North Hollywood’s as bright as laser projected 3D, and they had a misalignment issue the last time I went, which I’ve only heard can happen with dual projection.

Shang-Chi is getting a few more 3D showings than normal where i work, i am kinda surprised with this, we even have a prime time showing but not on a premium format but we are offering in D-box this time! i don't even remember last time we had a 3D D-box movie, maybe Rise of Skywalker in 2019...

As expected, my local theater loves 3D. One 2D showing, and 3 3D showings for Shang-Chi.

My other theater brought back their 3D a few months ago, and resumed 3D shows.

Your post gave me hope, but nope, my local Cinemark is still keeping 3D and DBOX separate but equal.

Besides Top Gun, is SC looking to be the last DBOX-able film?

Thats nice!

Apart from the IMAX 3D Cinema the other does not Show any 3D movie.
I wrote them to Show movies like Shang Chi in 3D.

They MUST know that there are still 3D Fans.

I don't plan to see this, but both my local Cinemarks are doing two 3D shows per day instead of one this weekend, and one of them has one of those showings on an XD screen.

Same here! Early reviews look excellent… here’s hoping for strong 3D and a 3D Blu-ray in Japan!

i don't go by reviews specially on Marvel stuff, the "Marvel does no wrong" crew is strong out there. Prefer to judge it myself.

He's Chinese though? AFAIK Italy doesn't fete its native son whenever George Clooney appears in a film. Same goes for England and France.

Here's hoping for a bluray released in a country where they aren't priced as though they're believed to be made out of solid gold-pressed latinum.

The only problem there is you can get burned, but I can understand that. I'm still torn as my interest level in this as a film is at most zero, but my interest in the 3D is high. Why oh why didn't Disney make this in the vein of a traditional "kung fu" film?

As for reviews, I would be shocked if an honest review of both does not hold Season 1 of Iron Fist to have been the better MCU Kung Fu installment.

Because Marvel has comics that tells the story of shang-chi and probably their not just Kung-fu flicks and there's the MCU to be uphold.
I just want to watch the movie for itself as i don't know anything of shang-chi as i didn't know nothing of captain marvel or even the GotG, and they grew on me.

If marvel did no wrong, then The Incredible Hulk would be a masterpiece as most of Marvel movies, right?
You have the right to think for yourself.

They tend to forget that Ang Lee's HULK is also Marvel but anyways a discussion for another thread...

Yes, but that one doesn't belong to the MCU, although Marvel and Universal at the time set The Incredible Hulk as a sequel after Ang Lee's Hulk. So that movie is one step out and one step in the MCU.

Were those films really worse than the "official" MCU films?

I am extremely happy, as 3D screenings have been added to movie theaters in Chile!!

Both 3D and 4DX 3D to be exact. Shang-Chi will be the first 3D movie I'll watch since the pandemic began (the last one was Rise of Skywalker, back in December 2019 on IMAX 3D).

Sadly, it appears our only IMAX screen in the country will not have 3D screenings.
