The movie on digital and on disc is going to be in 1.85:1, did I read that right?

That's what I understand, as well. Was it in cinemascope in theaters?
From what I remember, only Marvel's Avengers was 1.85:1 (which was awesome, BTW). Except for some IMAX scenes in GotG (3D Blu-ray), all the other MCU films are 2.39:1.
I've always loves the more immersive nature of 1.85:1 (and full-blown 16:9), but only if it gives you more picture (i.e not cropping the sides). Hope it is not the case here!

Ant-Man was 1.85:1.

According to imdb, BW is:

Quote:
The eighth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be filmed in Panavision (anamorphic), after The Incredible Hulk (2008), Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). Ninth if you count Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), of which the film's opening scene was shot on a set of Cooke Xtal Xpress Anamorphic Lenses rehoused by Panavision

It's 2.39:1 but perhaps this means we'll get the IMAX scenes in the Blu-rays?

Fingers crossed!

Also, I'd like to say that "Viuda Negra" sounds a lot sexier than Black Widow!

All the 3D MCU discs - except Infinity War and Endgame - retained their shifting aspect ratios. You just had to import the discs. Dr. Strange I believe was the last Disney MCU to get a domestic 3D release on blu.

Whether the 4K and regular blu for Widow does the same (let's hope), it should at least get it for the 3D disc.

I'm going back and forth with a rep at Disney right now asking if this was a misprint or not. Will update when I know for sure.

Guardians 2 was the last, was also the first 4K, and the only 4K + 3D combo.

Steve Rogers was frozen in time and ice with the SS Serum preserving him. He was basically thawed at the same state in which he was frozen. Endgame showed he'd still age if the "ice treatment" hadn't happened.

The MCU wiki implies that he got the injection of the Russian formula in the late 70's/early 80's and creates an inconsistency with the SSF continuity thus far, which we all know says that nobody got it right except Erskine, until it was successfully duplicated by The Power Broker. It may be that the Russian variant of the SSF used on Red Guardian is based off of the same variant that Isaiah Bradley took and whatever anomaly that allowed him to live while other test subjects died off, also worked with Red Guardian. That's the only way that I can read it.

Damn that's hard to follow with these IMAX sequences! I have Phase One and Two on 3D (except the first three movies of course), Phase Three on 4K, and only GotG has a shifting AR.
A shame they didn't keep it for the latest format...

I don't think this movie was released in 3D. Theaters around my area only have 2D presentations.

There are 3D showtimes in my area, just not many of them.

Also the regular releases on Blu ray and DVD

It will be interesting to see if this artwork is carried across to other countries or if other countries will just use the one artwork across all releases.

Not surprising, all things considered.
Bloody hell, the one thing Marvel releases have been pretty consistent on and that I enjoy isn't present.
