Look bro, nobody is claiming Underworld is some sophisticated classic. A quick perusal of your own collection shows you own the Avengers 4 film collection and Resident Evil 4k collection, which is cool, but dont act like those movies use hyper realistic CGI or are anything beyond popcorn flicks, they’re in the same damn category (esp. Resident Evil) as Underworld even if they are more financially successful. You cant seriously tell me the Hulk CGI looks realistic in any Marvel release.

I'll cancel Amazon and use Bull Moose if/when it becomes available.
I've had the exact opposite issue with pre-orders from Amazon. Best Buy has become the one that never ships new releases. 3 out of 5 never shipped before being canceled after weeks of delays. 1 shipped two weeks later and it was a major release available at every retailer and 1 smaller release shipped for delivery on release day. Amazon has consistently delivered on release day for the same movies.

I began doing duel pre-orders because of BB not even shipping them.

More on topic, BM originally went cheaper for the Resident Evil 4K deal, but Amazon ended up being a few dollars cheaper during release week.

Best Buy be trolling with the search results in showing the full Resident Evil 4K collection under "similar listings" when you type in Underworld 4K. That RE set is just a dead page, lol.

I still don't understand why the Resident Evil set went OOP so quickly.

I’m assuming this word was meant to be, “went”.

My wild theory is, because people bought it.

Right, but Sony typically stocks new box sets for much longer than a few months.

Yeah I slept on that RE set to my own detriment. Hopefully we get a standard release of those 4ks or a reissue of the Limited.

It just doesn't make sense. If the set sold out that quickly good business sense would dictate that Sony should either produce more sets or release them individually.

I don't understand it, either. Is it disc companies limiting print runs on boxed sets, perhaps?

Possibly, but I always thought profits were profits.

Just happened to me again this morning. I ordered "Brotherhood of the Wolf" the first day it was available from Amazon and I just got an e-mail from Amazon stating my order was "delayed". This happens more often than not anymore on pre-orders. I haven't had that problem with Bull Moose.

Could these sets be Sony’s Swan song for home media?

Apologies for sounding doom and gloom but like you I was surprised to see the set gone and the price it now commands.

Prices are

I’m not sure it’s anything like that, people have been complaining about some Sony UHDs being virtually OOP (because they couldn’t find them anywhere) for years because Sony don’t press a lot of units for North America, and that’s for a single movie. A six disc UHD set is going to need a fair bit of replication capacity and with North America down to the bare bones I’m not surprised they went with a strictly limited edition run. Why people are surprised it’s gone is a mystery, as it was advertised as a limited edition from the start. But singles are available from European countries, the 6-movie set is still available in the UK and as a Nordic edition as well.

I received a Out for Delivery notification for Brotherhood of the Wolf and A Quiet Place 2 from Amazon. Delayed shipping notification for QP from BB. Surprisingly, Brotherhood shipped from BB and was delivered yesterday. Canceled the Amazon Brotherhood delivery.

Also, FYI, the Brotherhood release is bad. May just want to cancel your pre-order. The review is live and the forum (and myself) confirm that it's basically just a re-issue with all the same video and sub issues.

I never even found it in-store anywhere even during the first few weeks so it was definitely limited.

You think Sony would have released the Resident Evil 4K movies separately by now. Since they are not doing that with them I don’t see them doing it with this. So now we have to suffer with scratched discs and stacking.

If you don't mind importing I'm pretty sure I saw them on Amazon UK
