I cancelled my Amazon order and bought mine on eBay from blowitoutahere. It arrived a few days later and I've been enjoying revisiting these movies. Watched "The Love God?" for the first time and loved it!

Just finished THE LOVE GOD? and it was wildly funny, and really fast-paced. It was just one dilemma after another after another. Surprised I didn't hear more about this movie during my life. It's great.

Welp, I finally got an email notification from Amazon that this is scheduled to be delivered between November 7-22. It really does seem like I'm having a tough time getting Kino Lorber and Shout titles semi-close to the actual release date through Amazon than I do other online retailers (which seem to have them on day one).

My copy from the Targer B2G1 sale showed up a couple of days ago. Looking forward to revisiting these, though they'll have to wait until spooky season wraps up (well, I can sneak Ghost and Mr Chicken into the lineup. Attaboy, Luther!)

I honestly stopped going to Amazon for the boutique labels because I was getting sick and tired of playing the waiting game 1 to 3 weeks after release. If Target is an option for you, they've been really, really good at getting Paramout Plus, Kino, SF and Vestron titles to me on release day or within a day or two...

Universal: None

Menus

Why would Shout be using a mono audio track vs stereo from Universal?

I wouldn't go that far. 2.0 Mono can often sound different, but still not stereo.

I lot will depend on the tracks, your equipment, setup, your hearing and preferences. Then a different argument about which is more accurate compared to original presentation

In audio circles there has been a long standing argument about which is better or preferred -- basically no winner in the argument

Three years later and The Love God? still hasn't been released alone on Blu Ray. I can't see buying this whole set just for one movie I don't have.

I love Knotts from Andy Griffith and Three’s Company shows but I have not seen his movies, are any of his movies any good? If so, I am considering picking it up

Absolutely! The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (included in this set) and The Private Eyes (distributed by Hen's Tooth) are personal favorites.

I already have the ghost and Mr chicken. The others I'm not worried about owning

But this thread did make me realize I haven't watched private eyes in a very long time. Think I'll break that out tonight. My wife has never seen it.

I can't imagine you not enjoying all the Knotts films in this set, although they are mostly patterned after his Barney persona from Mayberry and not the later THREES COMPANY image. In fact, the Universal comedies here featuring Knotts were usually written by veteran ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW writers. I love them all except for HOW TO FRAME A FIGG, which showed a general lack of contemporary relevance and monumentally fails in the second half by making the huge mistake of introducing a second type of "Knotts" character for him to bully. Prior to that, all of the Universal titles have their own common and yet unique charms, making them some of the funniest pictures of the decade.
