That Steelbook Set is slick. I have the 4K Trilogy set already, and will gladly wait for this beauty.

Not a fan of the steelie for Resurrections in that set but the ones for the first three are what I’d been hoping to see compared to the horrible previous steels, so I’m in.

Will happily swap in my Japanese discs with disc art for the first three, and hope the Japanese Resurrections discs also have actual art. Already have the Japanese soundtrack pressing (yay not CDRs) and will mod that into the SteelBook as well.

I’m heckin’ excited for the SteelBook box set! Love all of these movies.

Alright, I need that steelbook set. Hopefully it goes up at BB or something later on. That's gorgeous.

Has anyone confirmed if these are just the same discs from the previous releases or re-issue with the *fingers-crossed* Atmos track being the default track?

Has Warner ever done a reissue with the default track changed to Atmos yet?

I can't think of any WB movie that's been in any way re-released that had the issue with the Atmos track. This would be the first case that I know of where the movies were, at minimum, repackaged in 4K.

The only movie I can think of is Batman v. Superman and don't recall if that one suffered the problem and/or fixed and was unique for other reasons.

Seems that trilogy set is gonna be OOP so for those who haven't bought the films yet, you might wanna hurry and grab that before it's replaced with this.

That steelbook set looks great, but black would be better imo... I'm not liking the shadow figure in the center though.

What indication in the picture is there that the set is only 8 discs? That would be a huge bummer as I really wanted a release with either a single case or the white images that are on the slips/the Steelbook set shown in here.

Amazon lists it as having 8 discs.

Thumbs down

So out of all the releases of the new movie. What case, packaging goes best with the regular 4K cases of the 3 movie 4k set? Ridiculous! I’m leaning old trilogy and Best Buy steel. Hate to do it that way. That French steel set is ugly asf in my opinion. Like others Black would have at least offset the covers a little. Upset with the overall handling of these releases. Even if you went all former Best Buy steels and the new one. They don’t match. Ok through venting!

Shame they couldn't make a version that has all the bonus discs and keep the 8-disc set as a cheaper option, but I'm not surprised.

I still have my HD DVD set from way back in the day, so at least that covers me on the bonus features.

I mean, they absolutely could have even with just 8 discs. They could've used the older Blu-rays for the first three movies. Not only do they contain all the bonus features that the bonus discs for the recent versions have, they also have the trailers that the first two sequels dropped in their re-releases. Plus you get alternate color transfers that, while maybe (also) not reflective of their original theatrical appearances, aren't poorly-converted HDR-to-SDR monstrosities.

Shitty covers continue. Those bullets flying at the cast, I just can't. Also wanna point out Morpheus is holding the katana and sheath IN THE WRONG MOVIE. Edit: And I'm not 100 percent sure, but I believe that's an MP5 on the Reloaded cover that's supposed to be in Revolutions.

Both use art for Reloaded that’s been photoshopped with different lighting (Neo and Morpheus literally have the same heads on both sequel covers) and the style is kinda like the Reloaded marketing style but blue, so it’s all weird anyway.

Probably because of the blu-rays. 4- 4K UHD discs, and the 4 Blu-rays.

Doesn't make sense. The original 4K releases were three discs each, 4K, BD and Special Features BD. So this release should be eleven discs at least. Then again, those special features discs only take up between 7 and 10 GB, so maybe they just put them on the Feature BDs. But I would be surprised, since WB typically doesn't author new discs.

Well, I'm anxious to see how it turns out. Hopefully the information sent to retailers is just wrong and the set actually has three extra Blu-rays or they've been re-authored to one-disc versions, but I'm not holding my breath.

I received my set early. I can confirm this is only 8 discs. 4 4K discs and 4 Blu-Ray movie discs. The three special features discs that were previously included have been dropped and no special features have been ported over. This means you're essentially getting only the commentaries for the first three films in terms of special features. The blu-ray disc for Resurrections does include the same special features which appear on the stand alone release.
