I always thought it would be cool to have the twist be that the 2 ghostfaces were competing ghostfaces with different motives.

Hopefully RadioSilence learns how to do wide angle shots this time. And not have everything with a blurry background. We couldn't even get the feel of Woodsboro.

I'm so over there being 2 killers, it's expected and ridiculous at this point and ai think a group of killers would be too overwhelming. I think a single killer would be a nice touch next time.

This one was also filmed during Covid. They weren't able to do as many big/crowd scenes.

Apparently SCREAM 4 originally had one victim as the opening kill, and they asked Kristen Stewart to do it, but she turned it down.

Fully transparent Kristen is the best. So they’re already making Scream 6. Who did they contact you about playing in the last sequel?

So it’s the Drew [Barrymore] character that gets killed in the beginning. And they created a whole sequence where a lot of people got killed to emulate the Drew thing. But it was just going to be one person, and I was like, “I can’t do a Drew. I can’t touch that.” Do you know what I mean? But, yeah, so then they ended up doing, if I’m remembering correctly, a larger sequence and not just one victim.

She would be up for SCREAM 6 though depending on the script:

So you kicked it with Neve Campbell recently. The Scream franchise is enjoying a resurgence in popularity. If you were given a second chance at moving to Woodsboro, would you take it?

Maybe. I would read the script. I love Neve Campbell so much. She was very nice to me, and it was very satisfying that she’s a very nice person. I love that movie. I’ve watched it recently, as an adult though. It’s so gnarly. I love the movie because it loves movies. The coolest part of Scream is what it says about film. It’s so self-aware. It folds in on itself like six times. I love how much [Wes Craven] loves movies and how embedded that is. It’s a total film nerd type of movie. It’s not just a flasher flick. It’s a beautiful movie. It’s so hard to watch. I’m like, “I don’t have the stomach for that shit anymore.” I was like, “Oh, man, this is very, very, very intense.”

Courteney Cox 'Excited' to Begin Filming Scream 6: 'I Got the Script Yesterday'

Quote:
"I got the script yesterday," Cox explained. "I haven't read it yet, I just got it... I'm excited to read it, and I know they're going to start filming... I think, in June, in Canada."

She then joked: "I don't know if I'm supposed to say anything. Let me tell you the killer!"

I loved 5, but I'm bummed they are already moving on another so soon. Just not needed. It said everything that needed to be said about modern society/horror. Need another 10 years to pass before they have anything more that needs to be said.

I hope Stu ( Matthew Lillard ) makes an appearance or plays a role in the story. Maybe locked away in a mental hospital or something.

I think this one will bomb horrifically. The last one did well at the Box Office because they sucked in fans, but now we know how bad it's going to be we'll stay away and it'll do poorly. Odds on them just copycatting Scream 2 and it's set in college?

God, it's so depressing to see these Radio Silence clowns continuing on with their downright atrocious "vision" of the franchise.

Who said this? I'm obviously referring to the fans of the franchise who hated Scream 5. They will stay away, that's all I meant by "we". If you liked Scream 5, good for you. I think Scream 6 will flop.

Speaking of Radio Silence, I can't believe how uninspired this whole thing was. Ready or Not is great!

Ah okay, so the fans that hated the fifth movie made up enough of the fan base to where the sixth film will be a financial failure? Sounds a bit possessive to me. It's fine that you didn't like the movie, but don't act like you're speaking for anyone else who wants to see it continue just because you weren't satisfied.

I made a prediction. Not being possessive, or speaking on behalf of anyone. Just offering up my opinion. It remains to be seen whether I'm right or I'm wrong.

I mean I loved 5 and I also agree 6 will likely flop.

Maybe not at at the box office, but it's reception.

Actually the majority of fans loved the new one - there’s a reason it continued to make consistently decent money and had legs at the box office after opening weekend - because word of mouth was good plus they had repeat business from the fans going back to see it multiple times (I saw it 4 times). Scream 6 may not necessarily make as much as 5 but I highly doubt it will bomb. Scream 4 bombed because it sucked and it didn’t have good word of mouth because people said it sucked so it dropped like a stone. It gained a cult following in the years since but I still think it sucks and it’s the only sequel I outright hate.

Now this is quite the take.

I'm pretty sure it's near 100% unanimous that everyone prefers 4 over 3. Most everyone I've ever talked to has 4 as their 2nd favorite of the series. 3 the universally hated one.

They brought back the wrong character for this movie. They should have brought back Dewey instead.

I’ll watch Scream 3 ten times over 4 any day. As silly as it is in parts, I love Sidney’s arc and it still FEELS like a Scream movie to me, just goofier. 4 is just ugly looking to me and feels alien - Gale and Dewey don’t even feel like the same characters. And I DESPISE the comedy and one-liners as people die, not to mention Deputy Judy’s sitcom pratfall at the end - UGH.

3 is goofy but it still has a lot of that Scream heart and soul to me. But I know a lot of people don’t agree with me on that.

My ranking is 1, 2, 5, 3 and 4.
