As a UK resident and unable to order from Classicflix direct, I was grateful for the link to Importcds. I experienced the same shipping address problems associated with PayPal as Joe D noted. I paid via PayPal regardless and emailed ImportCds with my correct address noting the problems I'd had and they were very quick to reply and rectify them. I'm in no way belittling anyone else's experience but personally they have given me no reason to doubt their professionalism. I hope we all receive our copies whoever we order from.

Same experience here. They answered my email question quickly and made a same-day PayPal refund. I had a good experience with them, but certainly understand the frustration of anyone who didn’t.

I also really liked the vintage poster art used for titles like The Maze, Those Redheads, and Taza, Son of Cochise, but among modern commissioned covers, this is certainly as good as it gets. A big step up from Twilight Time's custom art for The Mad Magician and Man in the Dark. In this particular case I find it a step up from the film's original poster art as well.

There can't be many artists who could nail the era so definitively.

Really looking forward to seeing this one, thanks to all involved.

What a thoughtful inclusion that the

"commentary with Biff Elliot from 2004 with nephew Josh Shalek (with thanks to Connie Elliot)"

is with the film as an extra.

See these links for Biffs nephew sharing some memories, and the story of how he recorded the commentary:

http://www.joshshalek.com/biff-elliot-1923-2012/

http://www.joshshalek.com/i-the-jury-commentary-track/
I'm thrilled that Mr Shalek had the foresight and went to the trouble of recording that commentary with his uncle, and eagerly anticipate listening to Biff's recollections while rewatching the 3-D. It doesn't get much better than that. I wish more stars of Golden Age 3-D had been able to do the same.

For a BIG laugh compare it to TT's release Bell Book and Candle!

That's higher rez than previously posted versions, nice find.

We're lucky to get art that both sums the film up succinctly and quite likely generates interest in the film among those who may have been on the fence. It's eye-catching enough that it should attract attention from those who did not even have it on their radar.

And naturally I also appreciate whenever 3-D is promoted as the selling point that it is, rather than tucked away in the fine print, so this ticks all the right boxes for me.

Every month it seems like we get releases with artwork that either misrepresents a film, or is a poor substitute for the original imagery. It even happens with big films like Poltergeist. Seems to be the case that smaller labels often have a better understanding of both the films and their audience.

Pre-ordered my copy today. This was one of those movies that I tried taping off the All Night Long movie back in the 1980s and the tape cut off right as Hammer went to confront the killer. Took me until 2006 to finally see the ending of the movie. Needless to say, I'm delighted to have this disc coming.

I'm actually intrigued to see the 1954 pilot with Brian Keith as Hammer. I have the 50s show with Darren McGavin and all 3 incarnations with Stacy Keach, so it will be interesting to see this lost bit of Hammer lore.

IT’S HAMMER TIME!

. . .
. .

[Show spoiler]The roar of the.45 shook the room. Charlotte staggered back a step. Her eyes were a symphony of incredulity, an unbelieving witness to truth. Slowly, she looked down at the ugly swelling in her naked belly where the bullet went in.
"How c-could you?" she gasped.
I had only a moment before talking to a corpse, but I got it in.
"It was easy," I said.

Was lucky enough to meet Biff Elliot (in his 80s then) at the 2006 World 3D Expo at the Egyptian in LA. Wonderful guy, not that different than the character he was portraying! Critics reamed his performance, but I loved this movie. Lots of LA locations, including the ubiquitous Bradbury Building. Loads of fun gangster noir. The chance to view this restored in 3DBR in my own home has me on Cloud Nine.

Classicflix has a summer sale that ends next Wednesday. ITJ isn't part of it but some good deals with $3.99 flat shipping you could pair with it...

Import CDs apparently doesn't charge until shipping because their charge dropped off my card. But my card expires next month so they will have the wrong expiration date when they go to charge it in November. Not sure if this will cause a problem...

Import CDs post to the UK. Or you could just wait for the US Amazon listing to go live.

Hi David, can I ask if this title (specifically the 3D disc) will be region locked?

Do we know how limited this pressing is? I per-ordered it from Amazon today, but being that it's limited, how sure can I be that they won't have problems fulfilling pre-orders?

How well does classicflix pack their discs? Do they ship in envelopes like Amazon does?
