The reason to download it and install it is: the minute you do that, automatically v. 1.58 will be out and you have to do it all over again

Rumors say when it launches in europe but i don't know if that people wishing for it or the is some truth behind it, but it would be nice.

The word was mid march -- hope it's true as that would be the icing on the cake for the ps3...

Sony mentioned that there would be several major updates between the time of ps3 and ps4, but I don't know if that is true or not. There will be an update to go along with the european launch as most of us know that. We'll have to wait and see what sony has up their sleeves for updates?

Has anyone heard whether or not we will be able to stream internet radio on the PS3 in a future software update? In Ver 1.51 I was unable to even get the radio panel (in Flash) to start up, with Ver 1.54 I can get the Radio panel to open but get no connection (streaming). Personally I do not like the radio stations in my area (play lists are a joke!). I do like to stream a few radio stations from both Sacramento and San Francisco when I am on the PC working. Since my PS3 is connected to my Home Theater it would be nice to listen with its online capabilities. Anybody heard anything?

[Enable WMA Playback] has been added as an option under [System Settings].
[Disc Auto-Start] has been added as an option under [System Settings].
You can now restore backed up data to another PS3™ system under [System Settings] > [Backup Utility].
You can now register a keyboard and a mouse under [Accessory Settings] > [Register Bluetooth® Device].
[Remote Play Settings] has been added as an option.

Music
Support for playback of DSD (Direct Stream Digital) discs has been added. *
* These discs are music discs created using SonicStage Mastering Studio Version 2.1 or later or DSD Direct Version 2.0 or later (both Sony products, sold separately).

Motion JPEG and AVCHD (.m2ts) have been added as playable formats.
