Disappointing to see more re-releases of cartoon series, rather than cartoon series that have not been released locally before. I really wonder how they make enough sales, with the small market here, since these are the third or fourth re-releases.

In total, it took me two hours to put together the whole list, and with there being over twenty links I decided to split it into two posts.

The one DVD pre-order listing that caught my eye was The Love Boat: Seasons 1-4. I'm not holding my breath that this means Via Vision will be releasing further seasons of the show on DVD next year (as far as I'm aware, if further seasons are released, they would be worldwide debuts on DVD).

In addition to the remaining five seasons of The Love Boat and post-series TV films, would like to see the following television series from Via Vision this year (some are I assume owned by ITV, who are one of Via Vision's licensing partners (the logos at the bottom of the pages on Via Vision's website show their licensing partners):

Blue Thunder (the short-lived eighties action drama series (should be with Sony)

Give Us a Clue (editions from the Sir Michael Parkinson era)

In Suspicious Circumstances (the surviving episodes of the nineties docu-drama true crime series hosted/presented by Edward Woodward (this should be with ITV, based on the surviving episodes shown on Talking Pictures TV ending with various Granada Television logos)

The Rookies (Sony-owned series that Shout! Factory released the second season of (following Sony's release of the first season). Was Season 3 not released because of poor sales of Season 2, or was it because of the feature-length S.W.A.T. pilot is part of the third season and there is a possible problem finding it?)

Shades of Darkness (anthology series which has had a German DVD release, but some episodes were missing (rights reasons?).

If anyone here does decide to get a copy of Via Vision's complete series DVD release of sixties Canadian series Seaway (out next Wednesday), I'd appreciate it if you could post comments on the transfers of the episodes especially. One of the reasons I'm interested in getting this series is because actor Austin Willis is among the cast (I know them best for Goldfinger).

Interested to see what the Via Vision Blu-ray title announced tomorrow will be (Wednesday). The clue is the "the first two seasons of a fan-favourite 90's series to Blu-ray for the first time worldwide", so it's got to be something that lasted at least three seasons. My guess would have been Millennium, but that is with Disney now (yet I haven't seen it on Disney+). It could end up being something like Charmed, but that has had a Blu-ray release in the States and Germany.

Hopefully, there will be some new DVD titles added to the Coming Soon section on Via Vision's website soon.

I have the Love Boat Seasons 1-4 on preorder. I have the first 2 seasons, but I’m really looking forward to seeing seasons 3-4 and hopefully the rest of the seasons will be coming this year.

That is the hope yes, that Via Vision will follow this DVD release up with the remaining five seasons and the subsequent four TV films. Would also like to see from them a separate release of the short-lived Love Boat: The Next Wave.
