Saw this so many times on HBO in the 80's I lost count. One of my most favorite fantasy films. Can't wait to see it in 4K!

No. Only the preorder start date. I assume February or March.

This is now available digitally in 4K on iTunes and Vudu. Surprised there's still no more info on the disc release.

Will be checking it out tonight on iTunes (thanks free upgrade!).

Oof! Please let us know how it goes! I'll be waiting for possible screencaps or something.

iTunes still shows it as HD. No 4K version yet. I'll wait until there's an actual 4K option before pulling the trigger.

You might've fallen into the same mistake as me - it's Dragonslayer, not Dragonheart.. I googled Dragonslayer 4K iTunes and it showed 4K DV.

Looking at your avatar, I would think you'd also want Blood of Heroes!

It must be an apple exclusive - as Vudu denotes it as 4K but neither in HDR or Dolby Vision

Ha. I'd probably place it right below Barbarians for entertainment value

To each his own. . . I like Dragonslayer but in my mind Arnold could knock down Peter MacNicol with nothing more than a muscle flex.

I like Dragonslayer and Excalibur equally, Krull is up there too, but I never thought of Conan the Barbarian as fantasy more action/adventure I guess

we all have our reasons for liking certain films. In my case, I've always found this genre to be dull and uninvolving. DRAGONSLAYER is a really good to me for one main reason-- that dragon is spectacular and easily my favorite of all time. The effects are top notch and the ending is exciting...

Sure hoping the 4k delivers a great transfer..
