Dinosaur Movies on Blu-ray

I am disappointed with the lack of new releases since starting this thread. Was hoping some labels would jump on the 65 and JP30 bandwagon and release some vintage dino films.

A new plesiosaur-style Nessie film, The Loch Ness Horror (not related to 1982 film of the same name which I really would love to see remastered), should be getting a DVD release later this year from Uncork'd.

I don't remember them well enough to recall if they had any unique effects footage. Well, besides the one where Gary turned into a dinosaur over the course of the special and at the end attacked Eric. I think.

This came up in some thread a year or two ago (maybe it was the one for the Phil Tippett collection?), and I think someone told me those were available on DVD. I should get them.

EDIT: Ah, yeah, there seem to be two DVD compilations that include them all, available on monstersinmotion.com. Does anyone have these/has anyone heard of this site?

Raptor and the Carnosaur movies need Blu-Rays so bad please one of the boutique labels needs to put these films on Blu-Ray as soon as possible. I hope Shout Factory! or heck Severin films are willing to put these films on Blu-Ray hopefully soon.

Sharing this here since there isn't a proper Carnosaur thread due to the fact that there are no Blu-rays for the Carnosaur films.

Joseph Palinkas recently published a interesting book covering the films, with tons of interviews and b&w behind the scenes photos. Sadly he does not know the rights situation preventing these from being reissued to disc.

Dinosaur Babes, a Brett Piper flick from 1996. At least in the US, only had a VHS release. Couldn't find any SFW clips to link, but here's the VHS cover:



Then there's Dinosaur Valley Girls, another 1996 movie from Don Glut. It has a special edition DVD, but no BD that I'm aware of. IMO, the film is most notable for two things: the all too brief screen time from Griffin Drew, and the "Jurassic Punk" music video.

Is Wild Eye the same company that wants to reissue Don's "horrotic" series on BD?

Not sure, most of Don's stuff is being handled by Leomark who has released some of those to BD-R. I noticed SRS is handling Cinema Epoch stuff now but I don't think they're distributing his works anymore.

The Land That Time Forgot is being reissued to Blu-ray by Sandpiper Pictures. Can't imagine it will be any sort of upgrade. Hopefully the 4K rights are available separately.

I finally bought this. It came with a nice postcard of the "Garysaurus." I love it. I really wish someone would do the same for that Christopher Reeve-hosted "Dinosaur" VHS (I must have seen that 20 times as a kid), but I know the licensing for all those clips like Caveman, Planet of the Dinosaurs, When Dinos Ruled the Earth, One Million Years BC, etc probably make it unlikely we'd ever see it since it wasn't just using trailer footage.
