Well shit, I’ll find out tomorrow. I have a region free Blu-ray player but not region free UHD player. Hopefully the post is wrong.

Clearly Scratch Factory infiltrated Umbrella's pressing plant. This "accidentally" happens to Scratch titles all the time. Label Wars heatin' up.

Wish Shout! Factory would do something like this.

I received an email about the replacement disc earlier today.

Email was sent to following address. customerservice@umbrellaent.com.au

There's a thread in the International forum that should be read by anyone interested in this release. One user who has watched the disc claims there's an issue with the aspect ratio being incorrect.

Here's a link to the thread in question and the post in question so you don't have to go looking for it:

It's the 2018 4k scan of the theatrical cut IP and has the stereo track the 2018 BD (included as a pack-in) lacks. However, that's the end of the good stuff as is this not only in SDR, but is slightly stretched vertically to 2:20:1 and makes everyone tall and skinny. I lined it to the 2018 BD and the former is at the correct proportions compared to the UHD.

There's no major PQ difference or uptick in detail compared to the 2018 disc. They'll probably send me the replacement disc whenever but unfortunately I'm in no dire rush. I say skip this and hold on to the latest BDs until someone does a new 4k HDR resto (and maybe of the uncut if someone can find one of those Japanese subbed prints).

So, it's only one person that's reported it so far, and no caps or anything yet, but it sounds like he knows what he's talking about.

Its possible umbrella will restock their webstore once the fixed disc is available.

You could buy the $70-$100 version and after it sells out, put the extras on ebay for $40-$70 and someone would likely buy it. Better that then wait for something that may never come back in stock.

This movie is way better than any killer boar movie has the right to be. I was expecting cheesy B movie monster material. But it's actually like...made with intention. Even a bit artsy.

It's a little boring but fairly well made.

It’s made by a very good director, but the cinematographer is straight up legendary, even on this movie it’s easy to see why his career took the path it did.

The human villains I also think really add a special something to the movie, and keep it from feeling like other animal attack movies that followed Jaws so much.
