Don't get me wrongo - saving money is great and all, but you also haven't been able to enjoy the best available versions of four films you presumably enjoy for the better part of 14 years

No; his participation was sort of a tie-in to the 2009 Trek film.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed to see that NONE of the movies seem to list having received AUDIO UPDATES?
Guess I'll wait for another release that will hopefully receive Atmos/DTSX tracks to get people to buy another copy?

Well looks like I'll be skipping these releases then. I have an ATMOS/DTSX 11.1 system but still only 1080p, so these don't do me much good...

Understood, but there may be other reasons to get the set now because sometime in the future you may get a 4K TV and in the future if you wait you may not get the slipcovers if you care about that kind of thing. And also these are remastered discs on both UHD and Blu-ray so they definitely would be a upgrade and picture quality even if you were only going to watch the Blu-ray disc at this point in time.
And they have upgraded the sound to 7.1 although I would have preferred Atmos sound myself.
But there's nothing wrong with enjoying the copies you already have and saving the money.
