If I had been in your position I would have either a) posted a screenshot showing "Atmos" in my Apple Music as the poster from Spain at QQ had done, or linked to fredblue's post on QQ (the one I copied before Homer's link) showing others have been previewing it. But I'm not evasive when I post, I prefer to be detailed. You don't seem to realize that Atmos upmixing allows the exact type of effects you mentioned above in terms of directionality and you listen to Atmos in PURE DIRECT mode (negating room correction and eq'ing), all of this combined suggested you didn't know what you were talking about. As for trolling, I don't even need to look outside this thread where I've already had to clean up several posts of it involving you, because you chose to engage rather than report the political BS. I also have to note, it's very hard to get banned from QQ.

You were right about Atmos, but you certainly don't deserve an apology for the manner in which you responded.

As if I do not know about upmixers. I have mixed hundred of songs myself, from stems and multis, as well as having listened to multi channel audio for 15 years. Please do not behave patronizingly.


Sorry if you are offended I said the mixes were crap. Mediocre is better? Maybe I should have said that. I am allowed to show disdain when I am disapointed. You could just have asked for more details, instead of saying they were NOT atmos, and were stereo, thus implying I am deluded.

BTW; QQ is notorious for banning people and discouraging anyone who disagrees with the status quo. Many on the facebook surround groups can vouch for this.No worries as I never abused anyone, never said anything racist, bigoted or sexist and never made any threats. I just listened to Apple Music ATMOS version at -14dB which was comfortably revealing to me.

I really enjoyed it.

Excited to get the set though I won't until maybe Tuesday.

Listened to the album in Atmos via Apple Music last night. I've listened to the previous Blu-ray disc in 5.1 countless times and right off the bat I noticed more bass in the Atmos version. The more immersive sound effects are a bit moved around as well since there are now more speakers in play. Otherwise, not much else was different to my ears.

I ended up cancelling my pre-order for the new box-set because I wanted to hear it first and of course it is quite expensive. But, now that I heard it I think I am fine with my 5.1 Blu-ray disc and I also have the SACD as well which also sounds great.

If it ever goes on sale then maybe I will consider it lol. But I can live without it.

Mine was $264.99. It must have gone on a slight sale during the pre order phase. I'm very ok with that.

It's high but I think anyone reselling it will want even more.

I would like all the Pink Floyd related Blu Rays to sell on just as Blu Rays like with Animals but that may happen or it may not.

Reviews are all over the place on the Atmos mix, I can’t recall another mix I’ve seen so many people have widely different responses to. One thing that seems very consistent though, is how much better people are finding the fidelity of the TrueHD/Atmos on the BD to the DD+JOC streaming flavour, which doesn’t surprise me at all.

I would love to pick up stand-alone BDs of Wallflowers, Thriller, DSOTM and EJ’s Diamonds. Listening to “Sacrifice” on Amazon Music, they have done as good a job with the mix as the Elton SACDs.

oh well, I guess purchasing this just wasn't in the cards, too expensive and limited ... I'll live, but greed here, to have the Blu-ray audio Dolby Atmos mix exclusive to the box set is just mean. At least I have the SACD edition.

The SACD, previous Blu Ray and even the Apple Music Lossy ATMOS are all great.

Maybe they will have the whole catalog on ATMOS some day like they did with the Discovery CDs. I hear they want to cash out by selling the rights so someone will be willing to make some more money in time.

I read they planned to have a SACD full catalog set at one point and that has likely been reconsidered.

My own copy has been delayed a couple of times but is out for delivery today. I could sell the box without the ATMOS disc for $200 and be out a total of $65 but I like the deluxe boxes so I'll just keep it.

That included tax and shipping. I pre ordered at $299 but on Amazon if a sale happens at any point during the pre order you get the lowest price.

So I was nicely surprized to see it was $35 less when it came time for shipping.

Amazon shipping was amazing for this with 3 boxes around the box set. Amazon seems to still have some new ones at $20 off the MSRP.

well i got mine for about 289 from amazon uk on amazon.com.. i also got 1969 recordings of court of the crimson king atmos for 99 bucks =-) only had 2 two it seems. Hope its worth it.. i got the immersion quad box still.

I think it has lossless PCM also which should be better. I haven't listened to it in quite a while.

I think there are multiple different cuts of the film in various DVDs.

I sincerely hope for a deluxe anniversary set of the Wall.
